Joshua has underrated uppercut

Post by IronFrost »

Should AJ focus in mastering his uppercut? As we could see , his upprcut is brutal weapon. Whyte and Wladimir know it better than me for sure.

It's a good weapon against clinchers.

Will AJ KO Pulev with similiar shot like against Whyte?

That uppercut crumbled Whyte, devastating shot but who knows. Pulev was pretty much standing in front of Klitschko when they fought, had no defence or anything whatsoever for a hook other than his outstretched arm. If Pulev adopts a similar approach I can only see him being exploded on my AJ and going down. If Pulev tries to box and move I think he’ll have success, I believe his jab is sharper and better at range then AJ. I see AJ as more of a medium rage fighter, not long range like Klitschko or L Lewis. The shots to take pulev out are yes his famous uppercut, hooks and an overhand right. All these really are close to medium range as I don’t think AJ can lead with a hook say like Mayweather or RJJ famous jumping lefts. I guess we’ll find out I like this fight, another good test for AJ.

How do you know what punch he'll win with??? His straight right is his best shot... But his jab, hook, left and right uppercuts, and even right hook are shots that he works hard on...and his body attack and combinations... One of the reasons he was able to wear Klitschko down to where he was exhausted in the 11th is his fire-power.. Punching power breaks you down.. That's why he needs so many sparring partners and guys like Breazeale and Whyte were dead tired early.

I think the left hook is going to come into play in this fight... Pulev probably worked hard on his left hook defense after Wladimir Klitschko smashed him with crushing left hooks -- but if you have a vulnerability it's almost impossible to correct it after 30 ... or at ANYTIME.. Muhammad Ali was very easy to hit with left hooks -- and I'm certain he worked hard at that vulnerability wanting to be the best -- but it's almost part of your DNA.

Not underrated by Wladimir Klitschko I'd wager :box:
