Hall's older than last time and Butler is more into his physical prime than last time so I think Butler points is the most likely outcome.

118-110 Butler, I gave Hall the last 2 rounds for his final surge but for everything beforehand he was chasing shadows, Butler was really on song, sticking and moving, his footwork was excellent and constant, the only real success Hall had in the first 10 rounds when on a couple of occasions Butler was caught on the ropes, apart from that Butler picked him off at will, never really hurt Hall but caught him with some nice body shots, it reminded me a little of Cotto's performance against Kamegai, great legwork and concentration from Butler

Thought Butlers footwork was top drawer.

Best performance I've ever seen from him. I thought Father Time has caught up with Hall. Legs looked heavy and seemed far less snappy than usual with his punches.

Will Hall retire now? He should and I read during the buildup that he said he would have nowhere to go if he lost but we all know how boxers find many reasons not to retire. He's a fine example of making the most of what he's got skills wise and, even though the world title situation is so fractured these days there is still only a tiny percentage of fighters who ever win one...

Bit harsh that lads isn't it? what's he ever done to you?

I know Stuey and he's a top lad, I'm proud of what he has achieved and he should be as well, what he does now who knows but its unfair to take the piss in my opinion. He is afraid of no one and never even been close to being stopped or hurt. A proper fighter who at least always came to fight. Maybe I'm being over sensitive as a friend of his but I'm guessing most people on here would be proud to say they have achieved what he has in the ring.

Good luck to him whatever he does next.

not harsh at all. good fighter. id love to have even been half as good as him. commonwealth and british champ and fought for euro and world titles. was competitive in those and had some good wins in title eliminators vs guerrero and maligna. recall that quite a few had him beating or drawing first butler fight. just that he features in an awful lot of rematches and at nearly 38 not going his way these days. not a knock on any of those fighters i mention. just that theyve had a hell of a lot of goes at each other.
