Clifford Etienne update

Post by wouter »

For those that didn't know (which included me), he has turned to painting while in prison:

He's damned good. And that 'In the Gym' picture is beautiful. I might buy a copy for my home gym. His work reminds me of that artist who painted a couple of the old Marvin Gaye and Curtis Mayfield album covers.

He's obviously a soulful chap, Ettienne. What on earth must have been going through his mind when he went on that rampage.

That's Ernest Barnes, who apparently is his favorite artist:

Ernest Barnes! Great artist. Etienne has good taste. I'll have to write him sometime, he'll be an interesting man to talk to.

That man has some serious artistic talent.

It makes you wonder why he spent years getting his brain rattled when he was a far better artist than he was boxer.

The man certainly has a 'style' to his work. Pleasantly surprised at his artistic prowess. :TU:

Excellent art work.

There are a lot of very talented artists in prison.

I suspect there is some relationship between anti-social behaviour and having an artistic bent in some people.

Of course, they also have a lot of time on their hands and few outside distractions especially if doing a long lag.

His art is quite impressive, as style and subjects. Looks like some stuff you will find in an estimated collection.
