Seriously?

Well...can't say it won't be interesting, but I'd say Wlad would've had a better chance of avenging his own defeat had he gone through with the rematch than Vitali will have of avenging it.

Lol. Greedy old fornicate. Everybody wants a piece of Joshua money. No easier way of earning a fortune than boxing when the sails are full of wind.

vit would've been brutalized. chin up, powerless arm punches dont get it done against joshua. vit never fought a top fighter around his size. oh wait, he did, and fat old lennox nearly tore his face off.

It'd be a hell of a lot more intersting than it'll be in 2018 or whatever.

Hell for that matter Vitali is the WBC Emeritus Champion. Which means he could just come back and fight Wilder whenever the hell he wants. Wilder would be an easier mark to beat than Joshua...that being said I'd confident favor both over the now middle aged Vitali who has been retired from the sport for over 5 years.

I figure that Vitali being as smart as he is will realize what a bad idea this is when he starts training camp, and sees how far removed he is from the fighter he was even 5 years ago.

I doubt this ultimately winds up happening. However if it does, having both Klitschko's on his record in the Win column will definitely look good on Joshua's resume. Even in spite of their ages.

in reality a win over vit now should count for nothing. man almost 50, is now career politican, wasnt that good to start with. aj would inflict brutal violence and it shouldnt be sanctioned.

i know that vitali beat shitt and got torn up in his big fight. best win: fat corrie sanders? tomasz adamek? never dealt with any serious offense fighter around his size. aj is just that.

A prime Vitali would not have been "brutalised" by anyone.

I think you under estimate how good Vitali was.
His resume is wide open to criticism but I don't think the same can be said of his ability.
He had Lewis in trouble and would IMO have won that one barring the cuts.
Prime Lewis would have beat him
But then i believe prime Lewis smashes AJ.

Vitali was far from powerless.
He threw relaxed punch and arm shots but he hurt with those punches. It says a lot about the power you carry when you can do so much damage without commiting to shots and planting your feet.

Vitali was a very very good heavyweight in his day and I actually think his style would have made for a really good match up for AJ.

by old fat lennox who was at end of the line. of course all the bums he fought didnt do it. couldnt even beat chris bryd, his second best opponent. who was his best opponent he beat? next best after that?

dont know why vit gets treated like a great hw rather than just a good one. he beat crap and lost by stoppage to the two opponents who had long and good hw careers. wlad way better career. wlad got stopped but made up for it with lots of good wins. clearly improved as a fighter. way more speed, power, technique than vit.

Lennox hardly "brutalised" him - on another night, no cuts and who knows what woulda happened ?

The reason Vitali is treated as a great ? Size.
You're right, he's not really a great on skillset, but that size, engine and chin makes him someone I'd like to see against any of the heavies in history. Frazier, Tyson - they'd be giving so much natural size away that I'd have Vitali favourite to beat them. He's not fit to lace their boots in a lotta ways, but SIZE.

Trace the casual lol, Lennox had more luck as he has ever had during any fight ever, knew this very well and retired immedietly.

Wait a minute, am I getting it mixed up with something else? Is The Sun a particularly reputable publication or source of information? Because it seems I've heard them mentioned unfavorably in the past though admittedly I'm not up to speed on what are the legitimate and respected News outlets in the U.K.

I know here in the U.S. you have a lot of just out and out made up bullsh*t passed off as news.

Engine? He was good when in one-way traffic but against Lewis - a live body punching back - he was exhausted after 6 rounds of action. 6!

Frazier and Tyson could romp through 15 and 12 respectively, so unless Vitali got them out early he would be in peril, given that the pace of a fat 38 yr old Lewis pushed him to his physical limit. And since Vitali doesn't have the power to dent either man (the list of fragile chins that withstood his "power" is long) I'd give him no chance.

I hope he does fight Joshua. He didn't beat anyone of note and rode off into the sunset horribly overrated. Boxing owes him a beating, and Joshua will certainly dole one out.

Thry've directly quoted his words.

They are trash but they are too big a publication to get away with directly quotibg something that wasnt said.

Also I think they are quoting another publication

It's a list of four ?
AND Briggs doesn't really count - fight shoulda been stopped about 8 times and there was an a touch of the "you never put me down Sugar-Ray" about his redemption performance that night.
Not convinced that Tyson and Frazier woulda been able to hit him enough to tire him out.

I must concede I should say - his engine for a man of his size - fair enough.
I'm not saying he's ATG material - far from it. More a sort of ATG Ismail Abdoul.
