I don't think there is anything glorious and about what Tyson has done, but what Spinks did was worse. The drugs came after his license was revoked for alleged doping that has never actually gone anywhere. Spinks was doing it as champion, he also refused to fight Norton and lot the WBC, then turned up badly out of shape against Ali. If you think that's better than Fury fine, you're wrong but fine.

I've accepted that all of you guys don't agree with my take on Tyson Fury, and I'm fine with that. When it comes to something like this it's all up for debate really. I don't know that there is a definitive answer to "Who's the Worst Heavyweight Champion" of all time, but as of today if somebody were to ask me Tyson Fury is my answer...and I've explained why.

So Spinks drinking and drugging away his title against Ali should be worse to you. Tyson stopped fighting before he did any of that.

Funny, cause he had arguably one of his career defining fights in his next fight. A fight he will always be remembered for despite the loss.

I agree. It was a good note for Wlad to go out on, and enhanced his legacy a bit. Didn't do a thing for Fury's, but it enhanced Wlad's a little. If Wlad had fought like that against Fury he'd have still been the Champion coming into the Joshua fight.

Just on a side note, Fury was banned or was unable to box because of this drugs thing, ok. Lets say Fury did a Lance Armstrong, defended his title 7 times in great fashion then it came out he was a drug cheat all along right from his fight for the title. How would folks have felt about him then? Would people still be happy or would he have got the same attention as Armstrong?

I don't penalize any athlete for drug testing. Never have, I just get pissed when fights are cancelled over it. Too many fans go hard on guys they dislike and then suffer the hypocritical indignity if one of their favorites going down too.

I think any athlete is ultimately discredited when a drug failure happens. People would have enjoyed Furys great run of defences but ultimately they all mean nothing when he fails.
