Anthony Yarde fighting for the Vacant WBO Title?

Post by Manchester Hitman »

It looks to me that the way might be clear for a Warren special. All of the big names in the rankings are fighting for other titles/having non title fights and Yarde is already at No 8.

He's an exciting fighter, but very inexperienced but if it does happen would this be the softest route to a World title of all time?

the ramirez guy loma beat in his debut is much better than anyone anthony 'hungary' yarde fought. yardes team matching him like theyve got no confidence. theyre the ones who know him best. wanted nothing of burton. burton aint even that great but something tells me he wouldve shown why yardes been fighting bums.

Ramirez was an excellent opponent for a debut, but nothing resembling a guy that should get you a title shot. I'll take the records building over one fight with a journeyman, though that's admittedly splitting hairs.

ill take 1 fringe contender over a dozen awful bums. yardes opposition suuuuuuuucks. whoever 175 version of ramirez is, theyre way better than anyone hes fought. quality over quantity. it says more about how good the fighter is. in one fight lomachenko proved he can easily win at a level yarde hasnt even proved in 12 or 13.

Lomachenko won 2 gold medals at Olympics & one billion amateur wins.

He deserved a pass.

Just because that was my answer doesn't mean I had a problem with it. Actually rademacher should be the answer anyway. Loma second.

I don't know why you would pretend, but whatever brings you joy.

I like Yarde but he's nowhere near ready for that level. Step him up the way Beterbiev was brought along. I'd like to see him in with Burton or Buglioni soon.

Division is too deep for Yarde to steal a title in an easy fight. Gvozdyk is number 1 in the rankings and would want to fight for the title I am sure. And even if Warren manages to swerve all top guys and makes a title fight against some bum like Murat, he will have to defend it soon anyways. No way Yarde wants to fight likes of Gvozdyk, Kova, Barrera and Beterbiev yet.

I get what your saying and I agree, but I heard Gvozdyk was going another route. If that's the case, Its better to try to win a vacant title now then wait till one of the major fighters to get their hands on it. If anyone can control the landscape with the WBO its Warren. They boxed themselves in now with all these WBO euros etc and being ranked 8. Its a tricky situation there in now.

I don't get the hate towards Yarde, I understand the lad hasn't taken a proper whack on the chin from a semi-decent 175lber but lets see how Warren moves him in 2018

ppl dont hate yarde. most rate him well i think. has a style that is very fan friendly. but its been crap time after time and the opponents offer nothing. okay at first but tedious now. was seemingly in line for very nice stepup and then withdraws. then back to hungarians.

if he fights for world title next he will have one of the softest routes of all time for world title challenger.

I don't think it's hate for Yarde, just increasing irritation at the levels of hype around him vs the level of opponents faced.

It's obvious that Queensbury are pinning their hopes on him, and Dubois, becoming box-office. Just look how far Bradley Skeete was down on the pecking order on the Copperbox bill, compared to them.

People need to calm down on this and just see what the guys above him are going to do.
