117-112 Mimoune, that card in Eggington's favour is one of the worst ive seen in UK and we've had some terrible ones lately, European judges are awful and the refs aren't much better, although the ref tonight was sound

Jesus, that was brutal.

It was. Benn needs testing. Looks like he has some power though

Conor Benn is fast as eff. He's not beating anything at the moment so thats possibly making him look a lot better than he is. He is improving I suppose and its early days for him.
One thing im glad of is that his dad is no where near him in the ring, or proberly in the arena. so at least his dad is not messing him about like Eubank Sr.

just another predicatble knockover job. opponents have no power and ultra padded records. benn aint all that and he needs these fights for now if he wants to stay unbeaten and looking good. the 2-4 luke guy he fought early on was better than these 5-1/4-0 guys.
Re: Anthony Crolla vs. Ricky Burns - October 7th 2017
I've been a big critic of Benn in the past, but he is growing on me. 21 years old with no am experience, no need to rush him. Excellent performance tonight.
Continue chipping away and carry on learning his craft in the gym, and then putting it into practice in the ring.
Needs to stop the believing his own hype bollocks though, the same as Fowler and Okolie. Better known on Instagram than they are in the ring.

Always gonna bet against Benn...
Re: Anthony Crolla vs. Ricky Burns - October 7th 2017
if youve been a big critic before i dont see why you shouldnt still be one. his opponents are ranked like 350th-700th on boxrec. there picked for him to destroy. there are tougher journeyman out there, like the luke guy he fought early on. since then steered to these powerless guys with hugely padded records. team matchroom is very good. they get people starting to believe the hype no matter what. they know how to choose the right opponents, at right times, and how to market expertly.
benn has some raw tools but not convinced hes really getting so much better.

I liked Benn tonight, speed, power and accuracy
Re: Anthony Crolla vs. Ricky Burns - October 7th 2017
thats what i mean. i'd guess youve been really impressed with him the last few times too. starting to build a monster in benn. letting the fight go too long helps with that! guy shouldnt have continued.

Pretty sure he's been with Joe from a fairly young age, pretty sure Joe trained his brother Zac as well for a whilewesshaw1985 wrote:Why does Burton train with Tesco Joe and not Peter Fury?

This fight should have happened years ago, but I always fancied Crolla to win it.
Given the weight Burns has had to lose at 34 years old I give him even less chance now, but you never know, it's boxing, anything can happen.
That's why I'm watching it.

Oh f**k Terry OConnor is the ref
Re: Anthony Crolla vs. Ricky Burns - October 7th 2017
How refreshing to see a decent fight without a shite belt on the line.
Re: Anthony Crolla vs. Ricky Burns - October 7th 2017
They could at least get the fighters records right in the announcements.

Nothing in the opener. Even.
Re: Anthony Crolla vs. Ricky Burns - October 7th 2017
Have to admit the Burns jab is effective early on. 1-0-1 Burns.
Re: Anthony Crolla vs. Ricky Burns - October 7th 2017
Crolla edges third.

Crolla body shots key here
Re: Anthony Crolla vs. Ricky Burns - October 7th 2017
Nice to see Crolla not trying the Joe Gallagher special of not throwing for 6 rounds.
Still not really got going as a fight yet. I have Crolla 3-1 now

I've got Crolla taking all the rounds so far. They've all been competitive, but he just keeps doing a little more.
4-0 Crolla
