Bingo. But let's use race as the scapegoat, since some people will never get over it. Boxing does attract racists, but that isn't affecting the general population perspective. A fighter either has to be showcased at the right moment, or simply have that x factor to be a star. Truth is nobody cares about boxing except for a small amount of nerds.
LOL, I guess we're all nerds then on this forum. I was also a comic book collector when I was a teenager. Before comic books went mainstream because of the superhero movies, girls used to make fun of me when I wore a Batman T-shirt. Now, females dress up in scantily clad costumes at comic cons and call it cosplay. When I went to comic book conventions in the early '90s, it was a sausage fest. There were hardly any women there.
