First off to correct someones comment earlier, Biba are actually linked with the IBF now days and they have ranked several biba boxers such as tasif Khan, Lee McAllister and Nathan decastro just off top of my head.
Onto the actual point, while I'm sure biba would love to license Tyson fury I have seen gianluca di Caro asked out right on Facebook about it and he openly said it hadn't come up for discussion so far. So in my opinion it's not likely to happen, and in all honesty I don't see anyone else licensing him either.. if he does decide to box on I can see it being in America.
Speaking of fury, hughie walked a boxer to the ring for an unlicensed fight at Nottingham motorpoint arena last week, someone who is very closely linked with the furys and looked excellent on the night, ex pro boxer Ty Mitchell. Now with his past I certainly wouldn't be surprised if he went biba as I doubt bbbofc will ever license him again.. ignoring his past record he looked really fast and sharp and id be interested in seeing him again
Nope, in real life Britain and Ireland are two separate countries lol. It's as legit as calling a board the Congo and Russia Boxing Authority... I mean, calling it the British and Irish Boxing Board technically excludes Northern Ireland... which isn't part of Britain or Ireland yet Rogan is signed-up
Do the IBF have a Congo East/ Russia West champion yet?
The One Man Riot Jody Meikle has just had a massive FB rant at BIBA boss Luca using the recent BBBC injury to score points and boost his ego. He basically said he's boxed for 15 months on a BIBA license, never had a medical or brain scan, turned up to shows and not been weighed in and he could name at least four other boxers who say the same. He called him a snidey fooker and said his crap little hand held scanners were dubious to say the least! He didn't mince his words....

Like him or not (I happen to love Jody), he isn't a liar.

Hmm how do the people who say its ok to put someone with a recent soppage loss in the ring defend this? I suppose theres an excuse there always is.

I have no problem with rival organisations like BIBA, so long as they are safe, however, who is actually scrutinising them?

What do you mean who is scrutinising BIBA ?
I imagine they are self regulated just like the BBBoC

All I know about them is that Gianluca di Caro seems to run it but I don’t know whether it’s a limited company etc or whether there is directors or shares capital or how it is funded etc

We had a massive thread about this before, dunno where it is now. But pretty sure it was agreed that Luca’s companies are private limited with share capital (i.e. for profit), whereas the BBBC is limited by guarantee via its members with no share capital.

That's precisely my point, there is nobody to ensure that the expected levels of safety are met. To be frank, boxing still doesn't have anywhere near enough medical supervision even going through the usual channels.
