He's probably just trying to keep his name out there. He'd have no problem traveling for the fight. Despite the massive population difference this fight is worth many more millions there.

You're right, Wilder doesn't deserve this much attention, we should talk a lot more about people who do, like Povetkin, Ortiz, Breazeale, Parker, Dubois, name them.

If neither want to give up home advantage then there are plenty of other countries who could stage this fight but everyone knows the big money is at Wembley or Las Vegas. If Joshua is confident of beating him I think he'll have no problem doing it in Vegas but then Wilder has no excuse for getting spanked at 'home'.

Vegas just doesn't make sense. That puts the ppv in the middle of the night in the UK and that would have to cost the promotion some buys. While neither are known outside of boxing fans here, I imagine the ko records of two unbeaten heavyweights could be promoted to selling 300k buys or so. Still will do much more there, afternoon fight here.

Deontay Wilder says Anthony Joshua should travel to America for a world title unification clash instead of a showdown at Wembley Stadium.

Wilder was part of the 90,000 crowd that watched Joshua's dramatic stoppage of Wladimir Klitschko at Wembley in April, but says 'AJ' is yet to make his name in the US and should come to his home country if he wants to become a worldwide star.

"To be global, you've got to make your name in America and Joshua is not as big as people think he is over here," Wilder exclusively told Sky Sports.

"The UK is about the size of Texas. One state in my country, where people don't know who Joshua is for real.

"If my name was brought up and Joshua came along it's the same as if Joshua's name came up, my name would come along.

"It will be a great fight, but he is not that popular over here. I had to burst a lot of people's bubble but he's not.

"If he wants to be global, he needs to come to America to fight me, but to be honest, I don't care where it happens."

'The Bronze Bomber', who has knocked out all but one of his 38 opponents, insists he is far from intimidated by Joshua, suggesting his British rival and promoter Eddie Hearn are "scared" of him.

Wilder said: "Even Eddie Hearn says his man will knock me out in three, so why haven't you made the fight yet?

"If you are so confident, why are you stalling? Why do you stare at me when you're with your friends, look up and down, sizing me up? Because you're scared.

"Everybody is scared. I will unify the division and it will be very soon."

If it was 15-20 years ago id agree with hkm but not now,you can make your name on this side of the pond too. I also think he is contradicting himself because he hasnt even made a name for himself in his own country,why hasnt he made vegas his home? If he was a house hold name in the states casino's in vegas would be pulling out all the stops to get him there but he cant sell out Birmingham Alabama let alone a casino in vegas.

Fact is though if Wilder comes out like he did against Audley, you just never know. He is very wild, and obviously hits very hard. Never outboxes AJ so its his only hope.

Wilder tried to fight Povetkin and Ortiz to be fair.

We know neither Joshua or Wilder can take a clean right hand from the other so it's a who lands first kind of fight.

Because of that, where the fight happens is pretty important.

If it happens in america, you have to give wilder more of a chance than if it happens in the UK
