Never heard of Taylor. So we have even more lightweight talent? Good times, if you’re all right about him. We’ve had three world titlists, one still holding his title and hopefully his best yet to come and the other two faced each other in a really good fight. Loads of tremendous domestic fights over the last few years as well (a good few of them contested by Crolla). And Campbell showing potential recently despite having not won anything yet.

Taylor obviously. There is surely not a boxing fan that
A.wants to see this horrible mismatch or
B. Believes that a shot to bits ricky burns has any chance against the young super talented taylor.
Although i think eddie hearn will be able to sell this dogshit to the boxing public so expect to see it early next year.
Taylor by knockout for me . Whatever round he wants.

I'd rather see Taylor- Crolla, which I also think Taylor would win handily, I think Crolla's style would be absolutely made for Taylor and Taylor would look like oh jesus i just said he'd look like a million dollars didn't I?

I don’t think we’ll see crolla or burns face Taylor. Unless matchroom are happy to sacrifice one of them to him.

Campbell vs Taylor at 140 in the future could have some mileage

Burns can’t have too many fights left in him, can he?

Hope Burns gets matched carefully in the twilight of his career.
I wouldn't like to see him fight Taylor.

Personally I thought Figueroa was his last hurrah. He was fantastic that night despite the result.
Di Rocco was a soft touch and Indongo showed that he can't deal with a young hungry challenger.

Burns looks to have nothing left to offer at top level any more, shot, couldn't get his shots off against Crolla and Crolla aint hard to hit.

Though I do still think there is some value in it for an up and comer like Taylor to get the name on his record, so I could still see this one happening.

I don't want to see it now. Burns is done and has been for a long time. It's been years since his last top performance and that was arguably Kevin Mitchell. He performed admirably against Figueroa as well to be fair. I don't count Di Rocco as he was pure dog shít! At this stage Taylor would stop him. Even though he's never been stopped I firmly believe that and I don't want to see it tbh. Even at their best Taylor would be too much IMO.

I've boxed on the same shows as Ricky as an amateur and have met him on a number of occasions. Is a genuinely nice guy and I'd hate to see him as fodder for up and comers. It wouldn't surprise me if Hearn tried to feed him to Campbell or something now he's surplus to requirements. I'd like him to retire now or after one more bout up here against a 'name' that's winnable. Like Malignaggi or someone along they lines.

Taylor is being brought along just fine at the moment. The 140 division will be wide open next year when Crawford vacates and he could find himself in line for a vacant strap if he keeps going the way he is.
