Off Topic - Grand National

Post by Old bones Ian »

I know nothing about horse racing , but usually have a flutter on the National, this year I've backed Ebony Light and Colnel Rayburn on E/W bets.

So what are you lot betting on?

No reason Hedgehunter can't do it again. Was ok at Cheltenham, and Ruby Walsh is a good jockey. Horrificly short odds for a race like the national though.

Clan Royal was a bit unlucky last year, but his form has been a bit so-so since, and with Tony riding it, I'd lay him off.

Innox is a pretty strong jumper, although I think McCoy passed this one up in favour of Clan Royal, and Robert Thornton is pish.

Ince trail should get round but probably last. Numbersixvalverde and Garvivonnian are rather dark horses that could sneak a reputable spot, although are a bit short in price.

Ebony light is good value for its price, but it's jumping was piss poor when I saw him last, either his last run or second last.

I know nowt about Racing, but i've picked Le Roi Miguel at something like 100/1, and the horse Timmy Murphy is riding.

Jack High - good each way best.

Might go for Ballycassidy as my family know the trainer quite well (lives about 4 miles away).

Blooming Jockey cocked up on Ballycassidy - who seemed to be romping away with it and jumping like a showhorse.
