This seemed like a good matchup, who wins?

Dick Tiger would counter Benn's powerful punches and wear him down with body punches through 15 rounds to win a decision.

Nigel Benn could be hurt much easier and fought a lot like Gene Fullmer -- who couldn't beat an older Dick Tiger in 3 fights and got knocked out.

Benn was stopped several times after taking beatings.. He didn't fight as long as Tiger did, who was stopped only once in over 80 fights by dynamite punching Bob Foster -- though Tiger "retired" in a very early fight due to a hand injury that certainly doesn't reflect on his chin. Tiger wins easy.

Id go for tiger in this but wouldn't rule out an upset either. Tiger was a level above probably but benn did beat mclellan and went life and death with eubank. he took out dewitt and barkley too. Anyone with his power isn't to be underestimated. he went unbeaten for 6 years too. A top notch fighter.

One thing that's surprising about Tiger is his inconsistency. He scored lots of good wins but also lot a lot. Some of his conttemporaries like George Benton and Joey Giambra were more consistent.
