Dominic Breazeale-Eric Molina Set for Wilder-Stiverne Undercard
Dominic Breazeale will have to get through one of Deontay Wilder’s knockout victims to move toward his own WBC heavyweight title shot.
BS.com has learned Breazeale will box Eric Molina on the Wilder-Bermane Stiverne undercard November 4 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Breazeale (18-1, 16 KOs), of Eastvale, California, was scheduled to fight Las Vegas’ Stiverne (25-2-1, 21 KOs), but Stiverne replaced Luis Ortiz as Wilder’s opponent in the main event once Ortiz tested positive for two banned substances late last month.
If Breazeale and Wilder win November 4, it could set up Wilder’s next title defense. Breazeale and Wilder got into an altercation in at a Birmingham hotel following Wilder’s last title defense, a fifth-round stoppage of Gerald Washington (18-2-1, 12 KOs) on February 25 at Legacy Arena.
Breazeale beat Poland’s Izu Ugonoh (17-1, 14 KOs) by fifth-round knockout on the Wilder-Washington undercard.
The Breazeale-Molina match will be televised by Showtime Extreme, before the telecast switches over to Showtime for a tripleheader that’ll feature the Wilder-Stiverne rematch.
The November 4 undercard will include the return of Long Island light heavyweight Sean Monaghan as well. Monaghan (28-1, 17 KOs) will try to bounce back from a second-round technical knockout loss to Staten Island’s Marcus Browne (20-0, 15 KOs) in his last fight, July 15 in Uniondale, New York.

should have been Breazeale vs. Charles Martin...
Re: Dominic Breazeale-Eric Molina Set for Wilder-Stiverne Undercard
Neither can box well... Both are brawlers... Breazeale is bigger, taller, stronger, braver, and works harder.. He's been doing this a long time and he ought to start getting a few skills going -- even if he has to teach himself how to fight.. If your coach isn't worth a shiit you can ask good fighters how they do it.. Sometimes if you ask a top trainer they won't tell you too much -- because you're not their charge and they may go against you sometime.
You have to be able to recognize who's a good fighter and who's another brawler like yourself. Some of it is their results, how well they speak, and what their face looks like for the number of fights they had.. Some of it is if they jab the shiit out of their opponents without getting hit like you do every fight.

What happened to Breazeale vs Whyte?
Re: Dominic Breazeale-Eric Molina Set for Wilder-Stiverne Undercard
I think the problem is that Joshua v Pulev is sold out anyway, so from a financial perspective there is a limit to what difference it makes adding this to the bill. Realistically it might add to the PPV sales but Hearn isn't paying what the fight is worth. That's what Lucas Browne said as the reason for rejecting the fight before Breazeale.Badhusker wrote:What happened to Breazeale vs Whyte?
I guess Breazeale has arrived at the same conclusion that Browne did, I don't suppose we can blame him. Shame because it would have been a hell of a scrap but it's a risky fight for both fighters and they ought to get well paid. Hearn would probably say it's not good business to pay them more than the (monetary) value they would add to the bill. That's how a promoter gets rich I guess.

Those guys are too closely ranked to each other to fight each other. That's Heavyweight Boxing these days. Interesting matchups aren't allowed.Badhusker wrote:What happened to Breazeale vs Whyte?

Breazeale spoke out saying Hearn would offer him a substantial amount.. but it turned out it was far from it..

These matches are both wastes of time. Would prefer to just see Breazeale vs Stiverne while Wilder and Molina go fly a kite.

Wow, there are a hell of a lot of mistakes in this text, funny that most of the boxers on the undercard are ranked way way higher as the actors from the main event.
I hope Breazeale isn't becoming a victim of some kind of scam.
It's very obvious that this isn't independent media.

very ugly fight. Breazeale to grind out a messy late stoppage.
unless both guys are just going through the motions...then a dull points
all in all a pretty pooor bill

It might be better to follow this fight on the round by round here than actually watch it
Re: Dominic Breazeale-Eric Molina Set for Wilder-Stiverne Undercard
Ugly maybe in terms of finesse being in extremely short supply, but don't think you need to worry about both guys just going through the motions, I don't think Breazeale would even know how to go about itfunso banjo baby wrote:very ugly fight. Breazeale to grind out a messy late stoppage.
