How can anyone take this list seriously? Two inactive guys on it and hughie jumps in after a loss, its comical
Re: British Top 30 P4P October 2017
To be fair, Khan is citing injuries as the main reason for his inactivity - I think his position is fairish - perhaps just one place above Crolla, he is probably a European Level win away (which will probably be his next fight) from being back in the mix against the very best.thechump wrote:How can anyone take this list seriously? Tyson Fury though should be omitted, the guy hasn't fought since god knows - is in no shape (physically or mentally) to fight and there must be a huge question mark about whether he will be allowed to fight under the BBBoC again.
Re: British Top 30 P4P October 2017
Boxrec now rank Eubank Jr above Groves on the current SMW rankings.
Not that I agree with it. Just saying

Re: British Top 30 P4P October 2017
Looking around it seems most people had Linares winning by a few rounds. I had thought the consensus had it closer, with some giving it to Campbell.ElJefe wrote:Luke put in a very good performance against a truly world class fighter, which is more than a lot of fighters between 10 and 20 can say, but ultimately he lost the fight so I think jumping up by 8 places is a bit too much.
Maybe I gave Campbell too much credit for a competitive loss, but fighters like Brook, Khan, Flanagan etc. have been doing so little recently that I thought it was enough for him to overtake them.
Re: British Top 30 P4P October 2017
Khan shouldnt even be in there,12+ months no fight organised he shouldnt even have a rank same with fury but you seem to keep adding them in your monthly rankings, whats up cant you think of anyone to replace them? Or are u just a nut hugger?Horse wrote:Looking around it seems most people had Linares winning by a few rounds. Josh Taylor's record is still rather shallow, with no wins above domestic level.brilo33 wrote:Josh Taylor,Ryan Burnett, callum smith very low for me ,no Jamie Conlan
or paddy barnes?
I didn't think beating Haskins was enough for Burnett to go any higher. If he beats Zhakiyanov then he'll go much higher next month.
Callum Smith doesn't really have any particularly high level wins. I don't think that he deserves to be any higher at this point.
Conlan's record is too weak for a place on the list. If he wins the IBF title next month then he will enter.
Paddy Barnes? He's 4-0 against journeymen.
Re: British Top 30 P4P October 2017
Brook has been stopped twice in a row, hasn't won in over 18 months and it's been over 3 years since his only world class win against Porter.BigDoofus wrote:Luke Campbell above Brook?
Brook is going to be moving down the rankings until he gets back in the ring.

Re: British Top 30 P4P October 2017
BJS bit high for me. He's looked utter bollocks and been inactive.
Re: British Top 30 P4P October 2017
The list is looking stale?brilo33 wrote:a bit of ribbing for him to be honest ,but paddy has a WBO European Flyweight Title, conlan has a world title shot coming up, it is looking a little stale
The bottom 10 of the list is very strong at the moment.

Taylor's done hardly anything.TheGoods wrote:Eggington being ranked above Josh Taylor is beyond parody.
He arguably doesn't even deserve to be ranked.
You don't have a clue if you think it is ridiculous to have Eggington above Taylor.

He's moving down the list gradually and if British boxers weren't so unnecessarily inactive then he'd be moving down much faster.jamamb wrote:fury has soon just 1 win in last 3 years. soon will be going on inactivity from last part of 2015 into 2018. looking obese. nothing scheduled. we arent talking about an active boxer. into the future wlad win will always be stronger than most wins guys on the list have. doesnt mean keeping him on forever.
Re: British Top 30 P4P October 2017
He wasn't knocked out though and both of those fights were close.BigDoofus wrote:Correct, but Campbell lost to Yvan Mendy (world no.22) and has never won at world level.
He has also been far more active than Brook in recent years.

Shouldnt even be on the list,if you dont fight for 3 years why should you even be classed as an active boxer? Why not throw lennox lewis on the list aswellHorse wrote:He's moving down the list gradually and if British boxers weren't so unnecessarily inactive then he'd be moving down much faster.jamamb wrote:fury has soon just 1 win in last 3 years. soon will be going on inactivity from last part of 2015 into 2018. looking obese. nothing scheduled. we arent talking about an active boxer. into the future wlad win will always be stronger than most wins guys on the list have. doesnt mean keeping him on forever.

I strongly disagree.brian13 wrote:Billy Joe Saunders is not sixth at all. Too many fighters are better than him. Should be in the 21-30 range.
Re: British Top 30 P4P October 2017
Brook's arguably still top 10, but he's not done a great deal in the 3+ years since getting the Porter win.Ossyrules wrote:Whose better than porter that khan fought and beat at 147?
This is only British. It’s not so deep that only 1 world class win drops you that badly. P4p is who is best and brook is within our top ten best. Simple as that
Brook is inactive and keeps losing, so until he gets his act together he should be dropping down people's rankings.

I put JNR next to chris eubank incase you thought i meant chris snr cause you already have inactive boxers on your list you might of thought the flood gates had opened and you could add don cockell or randolf turpin

Fury last fought 23 months ago and not 3 years.
