I cant see what Jamie cox can bring to this fight which will be an improvement on chudinov. Somebody mentioned in an earlier post that George was blowing out his arse early doors against chudinov, and he was. He was expending a lot of energy trying to fight him on the back foot, constantly trying to move away and just being pressured. I thought George adapted brilliantly in that fight when he realised that tactic wasn't going to work against chudinovs constant pressure and once he started to meet him head on he was too good.

Chudinov may not be a world beater but he has a decent record and was physically very strong.

I fancy Cox to look way out of his depth and groves to stop him 6 to 8.

Groves looked serious at the weigh in yesterday. I reckon he will end this early but not before Cox tried something stupid such as a head butt.

I can't believe no one has mentioned how average Cox looked against Lewis Taylor at Bramall Lane. Taylor was English title level from THE WEIGHT BELOW.

Also Cox went the distance against a guy who LOST the Jimmy Kelly an area/ English level fighter TWO WEIGHTS BELOW.

Groves should be smashing him to bits. I'm just annoyed it's PPV and not ITV1 that's as much of a joke than a is getting a world title fight.

I should have mentioned it. I had a four fold bet that night - Spence, Groves and Thomas any method - Cox by KO (Based on his sparring prowess on this forum!!). Probably why I want to see him get beat so much tonight!!! He did look mundane that night.

not sure what his rep is to be honest. He was quite close to DeGale in his build up to the IBF Title I believe not sure if he had a part to play in the Haymon deal. Suppose there is a role for him in the game on some level...

Behave Ben... what has Cox done to remotely suggest he belongs in this class? Me thinks you are just trolling...

The same as Groves had done prior to entertaining Froch, Jason. F*** all. But you're writing him off on that basis? Why? Because Groves is exceptionally good or because Cox has flattered to deceive?

Groves suddenly doesn't become a different proposition as a bent holder, and the argument that Cox is a light-middle is stale. Chudinov's workfare gave Groves fits, he literally poured everything into it to get the win and well done George, but it was hard for him which many forget.

Cox has serious unfulfilled talent, will come out fast and relentless and I think he cracks hard enough to hurt Groves. Kenny Anderson was no banger, yet Groves was buzzed. Cox is a southpaw, has excellent punch variety, and over 4 rounds has a great chance.

It beyond 6, then Groves because I think Cox lacks discipline and will punch himself out. But don't discount him.

Groves had achieved far more prior to Froch than Cox has prior to this - the Degale 12 rounder being a prime example, but the wins over the likes of Smith and Johnson are far better than anything on Cox's record.
Chudinov is also proven at a far higher level than Cox.
As for Cox's serious unfulfilled talent, I've been waiting for that for years, but there's just too much evidence now in terms of struggling against fighters the likes of Groves would breeze past.

I've been a bit up and down on Groves throughout his career. Chudinov was able to back him up to the ropes quite regularly in the first couple of rounds with Groves going back in straight lines a bit too much for my liking. He seems to load up on every punch as well which sometimes means he looks a bit ragged and off balance. Saying that, he's proven that he can compete and win and a much higher level than Cox, whose reputation seems to be based almost solely off rumours. I'll go with what I've seen myself and say that Groves will be levels above and wins by mid to late stoppage.
