I didn't either. When Cox first dropped I was like "What the hell?!" But yeah...very good shot. Perfectly placed.

There was a lot of noise in background - no pictures of anything.

Cox put up a good effort but no way he was winning the fight.

ah yes. lasts 4 rounds the first time against anyone in the top 50, but already being talked about as a fighter at that level now.

I wouldn’t be at all surprised if the fight doesn’t go ahead. Eubank Jr is being extremely carefully managed, I don’t reckon they’ll fancy Groves at all.

agree. strange that some people had him up. he was just offering the occasional scrappy attack against the ropes that mostly missed. groves was boxing and hitting him throughout the rounds and already wobbelled him prior to ko.

Great fight while it lasted, sickening body shot to finish...shot gets better and better every replay.

When in with someone near / above his level Cox is a very exciting fighter

Groves will need to perform better against Eubank. That will be an interesting fight at this stage

so did the 3.5 rounds cox lasted provide enough to keep up with all the 'cox destroys fielding/ryder/etc' stuff?

personally I dont think Groves is fast enough to beat Eubank. Im not saying Eubank is better then Groves as Groves seems to be a tough lad, but ?its the wrong fight for him. I just think Eubank will out work, out maneuver Groves. I just dont like the Eubanks style, ive seen too much of his dad and know how it works.

Not exactly, I don't want him to go back to Commonwealth level. Lets see him at Fringe World class. Although I think he deserve some credit, he was hanging in there well with IMO the #1 Super Middle in the World.

Bit of a difference in saying - I want to see Jamie fight at that level again, then Jamie IS at that level.

Kalle - they fight in Britain in January but I won't say if it's outside or inside. I'm guessing winter and dark nights means it will be inside ffs.

If Cox were to move back down to 160 I'd be interested to see him fight somebody like Andy Lee. That'd be fun.
