Because he was not. Floyd was protected by a corrupt desperate al haymon who needed a star vehicle to control the sport. He picked Floyd and Floyd escaped Arum and Margarito and fled to Haymon. Floyd knew arum was trying to set up for Floyd to get beat up by prime Margarito and fled. Floyd ducked three separate offers to fight Margarito and then haymon hired the old patsy in need of a cash out payday - Baldomir. Haymon kept floyd from ever losing with fixes, payoffs, etc. Every single one of floyd's fights post Margarito is suspect in one way or another. Floyd is a boring fighter who was great at 130 and 135 but at 147 he was a fix. The ducks of Margarito, Cotto in 2008, Williams, Martinez, Pacquiao for SIX YEARS and GGG at 154 are Floyd's legacy - ducking dodging and protecting his fraud record no matter what the price.

Floyd could have fought Margarito for $8m in the summer of 2006 and then Baldomir in Nov, for $8m and $8m. Floyd ran. And shi7 his pants when Margarito confronted him at the Oscar Mayorga press conference. Fake promised him to fight in the future.

Williams would have slaughtered Floyd with ease. Easy win for the giant over the midget. I been reading this forum for a long time, well before I joined.
The strong anti-Floyd sentiment began with the Gatti fight.
People here really got offended (somehow) about how Floyd talked about Gatti.
It wasn’t even egregious or wrong. Everything he said was just fact.
But so many people loved Gatti, they got upset hearing him spoken about honestly.

And then for Floyd to back it up EXACTLY as he said it would happen.

I personally don't like Floyd, because he "helped" boxing to move more and more away from being a sport towards being a business. It is only about money for him, and being a top p4p and the best paid fighter created a lot of followers. Like somebody said in this forum, "I may be a coward, but I am a very rich one".
