Yes the Big Cat hit pretty hard and was about 50 lbs bigger than O’Brien. However, his list of “victims”, with just a few exceptions is very weak. Try naming 3 legitimate top HW contenders that Williams beat. Also remember that he was KO’d by Satterfield, who was a VERY hard hitter, but also had just about the worst chin of any decent LH/HW contender in memory. I think if Satterfield could avoid the dreaded Williams power for 2+ rounds I think O’Brien would have made him look like a complete amateur.

And yes it is a huge disparity in size, but think of it this way. Can you imagine Ezzard Charles beating Sam Peter or either Klitchsko? There are even bigger disparities in those two matchups.
