Gassiev defends his IBF Cruiserweight title against former champ Wlodarczyk this Saturday in the last QF of the WBSS, Gassiev's 1st defence since beating Lebedev a year ago, I had that fight draw but I was impressed with Gassiev, works the body well for a big man and is uber tough, Lebedev's punches just bounced off him, ive not seen much of Wlodarczyk, I don't think I seen any of his world title fights, I remember seeing him on an undercard recently, he's got a good record, 2 time world champ and never been stopped, he's getting on a bit though, can see Gassiev being too strong and fresh winning a wide decision
As I said Gassiev is a good body puncher so might be wise to work the older Wlodarczyk's middle

I still can't believe Gassiev is only 23! I'm taking him to win this. He does tend to look for one big shot so I'd like to see his work rate a bit higher. He stops Wlod if he can step on the gas early and keep pressuring to the body.
Re: Murat Gassiev vs Krysztof Wlodarczyk
I like Gassiev and think he will destroy Wlod.
He looks big for the weight as though he will outgrow the cruiserweight limit (as Holyfield did when the limit was 190-pounds).
Very solid in terms of technique, seems also to have excellent core strength and his only drawback is he is extremely methodical. Still think he definitely beat Lebedev.
