I certainly wouldn't pick against him with tons of confidence or anything. Degale is definitely a good fighter, and is capable of beating any of those 4 guys just as they are capable of beating him.

Who at 168 would you pick to beat him mate? I think it would be bad move fighting Jack at 175.
Zurdo Ramirez, George Groves, Chris Eubank Jr, David Benavidez

Degale's never been overly impressive to me. He's a good fighter for 7 rounds, but he slows down over the final stanza of the fight every time, and I'm sure there are guys in the division that could take advantage of that.

I wish we see at least 2 of those fights, if not all! :box:

I think DeGale v Groves would be a better fight second time around as well. I enjoyed the first one but I think a rematch would be better.

I heard that he has ADHD which explains the erratic behaviour, how he flits around in interviews, a bit hyper then a bit down, misses signals in conversations on how to behave or moderate how he is speaking and also explains the lack of concentration during fights and how he can switch off.

Degale vs groves is as close to a 50/50 as you’ll get. Proper grudge match. I’m a groves fan and will back groves, but they’re closely matched

Degale vs eubank. I’ll reserve judgement, if groves spanks him then it’s safe to say Degale would also be a level above

Degale vs rameirz. Don’t realky see the fight happening. Tough fight though for sure. I’d take fully fit and on form Degale to hustle a decision

I’d back Degale vs the other guy mentioned in this thread too

I like Degale. He's not the greatest talker or the sharpest tool in the box but you get the impression he'd genuinely fight anybody and I loved how, having barely survived the last round, spitting blood and missing teeth, he was genuinely up for the rematch with Jack straight away and it was weird seeing Jack basically telling him no. He's already taken a loss (in a close fight he probably deserved to win in the Groves fight) and all the great fighters who had to fight everybody, not like the cherrypicking "greats" of today, took losses and draws and didn't let it destroy them. His habit of admiring his own work is annoying, but he also has moments of brilliance (putting Jack and Dirrell over) and just comes off as a brave guy.

I'm sure he'll take another L at least before he's done but he'll go in with whoever wants him. He was saying he wanted GGG in the last interview I watched of his properly (and this was before GGG had noticeably lost a step) and I have no doubt that if that fight had been offered to him he would have taken it.

Kudos for saying he'd go up to LHW for the Jack rematch, but the winner of the WBSS is the natural choice for me, and I'm sure he'll fight Eubank, Smith and rematch Groves anyway before he hangs them up. He might not make the HOF but he's got the right attitude and I look forward to his next move whatever it may be.

James got beaten up by Jack far worse than Groves or Bute. He barely beat Medina and was telling us all afterwards how he was "taking over".

DeGale is a top fighter but most of the tops guys are all close with one another at 168.

Why pick 2?
Anyway i would stay at 168 and rematch groves,he was lucky to get the draw against jack,he got smashed to bits from round 6 onwards so to say he isnt in bis class is stupid and doesnt put him in a good light

DeGale is IBF Champ and has said he wants to return in December. Fielding is no.5 with the IBF and has said he will be fighting in December.
Haye vs. Bellew, London vs. Liverpool.
DeGale vs. Fielding, London vs. Liverpool.
O'HaHa vs. Davies Jr, London vs. Liverpool.
:TU:
London 3-0 Liverpool possibly.

DeGale doesn't look like he could be a big contender at 175 to me, maybe he's just trying to make out he has more options in order to increase his own value. I reckon its mere bluster about wanting to rematch Badou Jack as there are loads of potential winnable fights at 168 for him, especially whilst he still holds the IBF belt. Not least is Groves who remains the only man to beat him as a pro and currently holds the WBA title, if George can beat Eubank and then Smith in a potential final then the clamour will be all for a rematch with Chunky. If Groves does come through the WBSS as winner he is sitting pretty and could just retire happy, DeGale isn't getting any younger so he really needs to plan his next 2 or 3 fights carefully.
