lolz, power against dave howe, aj carter, and lhws?

gorman ko'd howe in one. carter has one of the worst chins in boxing.

Just don't think Joyce has good enough fundamentals and at 32 very little time to improve.

On the other hand that's a great stoppage win for your debut in anyones book and he got 8 rounds under his belt without losing a round, Lewison was brave but predictable, just marching forward trying to land a haymaker, he earned his dough though, he could've bailed whe he was thumbed in the eye in the 4th or afterwards when the eye closed coz that mustve hindered him, he wasn't in shape though so I'm not to sympathetic, when he went over on his ankle I thought he would've been unable to continue but credit where credits due he toughed it out

Great debut win for Joyce but I'm not blown away like Joshua or Dubios and that's taking into consideration that opposition, theres still questions on his speed and chin
Good post - Joyce has probably come in at debut as a pro at a 10 fights level
x2
He wasn't impressive, but it's his FIRST fight ?! :brick:

He's size and engine WERE very impressive and it's a very unusual combination for his opponents to deal with.
He's obviously not an explosive KO artist AT ALL, but I think his power is fine. He'll get enough KOs thru' his workrate it will take a very special heavy to walk thru him.
He could be decent in 5-6 fights.

Whereas Joyce outlasted big fat, unfit Lewison.

lewison is durable though. joyce no worse in pro debut than whyte was against same opponent. lewison still levels above glass crap like howe and carter.

Maybe, it is late to give it a go in pro. I can’t knock lewison win on debut too much though

maybe joyce should try to prove his power next against aj carter or dave howe. if he stops them early, he must be a puncher

Dubois is a kid, he'll grow and improve.
With his power he can add skills and ring intellect as he grows.

Joyce is a 32 year old fighter what more can he change technically at that age?
And you can't learn power

do you not think joyce would ice glass chins like howe and carter? look at who has stopped them early. other dubois opponents include lhws and cws.

for me hes not a proven legit banger yet. hes been matched perfectly to flatter his power and make him look like a monster.

Give him a chance - He'll probably beat Howe, Cornish, Allen and/or Thomas, Sexton and Gorman in his next 6 fights and be English, British, Comonwealth 7-0.

I doubt Fast Eddie will want Dubois anywhere near him yet. Even if he fancies it, he'll want to build to a PPV when their both like 10-0 :witzend:

i didnt make the claim either, but i just dont get how this fight generates a  with regards to that claim when joyce did no worse than whyte and stopped lewison earlier. had him hurt worse than whyte too. do ppl forget that whyte actually fought lewison and didnt exactly shine? not like lewison was in tip top shape for whyte either
