Page wasn't just kept away from grapplers in bellator, by the way. They never put him in with any decent strikers either. I'm positive Daley would leave him twitching in the mat.

I don't think it is a coincidence that after knocking over a long line of cans, getting himself in a position to have some real fights for potential shot at the Bellator title, he suddenly switches sports.
Thus allowing to spend another year or two of easy fights.

Don't be surprised to see hi make another switch as soon as he is expected to start fighting decent boxers.

He's going to get worked by Daley

I have no idea how good he is at MMA, but judging by his performance on Friday I feel confident in saying that he should be sticking to what he knows rather than trying to play at pro boxing. He was awful and would/will get beaten up badly by the first decent fighter he faces.

At least I know who he is now. I’d been wondering why he was being used as a boxing expert on some videos I’d seen online doing analysis of fights.

Another Pele Reid, in the making?

If he was fighting anyone of note he'd have got countered and KOd as he was telegraphing every shot

His power didn't carry into the boxing ring aswell

Stick with MMA and fight Paul Daley
He's a can crusher in MMA, he'll get sparked out by Daley.

He was being built as the next big thing by Bellator, not sure why he has randomly taken up boxing.
It pays better
At this level? I'm not sure what kind of money he makes in the UK for a debut, but in the US UFC/Bellator guys will be making more than boxers outside the top 15-20.

A clown.

Boxing could do without this.

I actually don't think its a bad thing for the odd MMA fighter to turn his hand to boxing, it just makes the sport look good when these guys get their arses handed to em, I think these guys think boxing has a lesser skill set than MMA and it will be a breeze for them, of course the reality is that boxing is a helluva lot harder than it looks and the very best make it look so bloody easy, anyway Page gets knocked out by the first "live" body he fights

Suspect it will benefit both Hayemaker and Page for him to can-crush on undercards all the way to something like 10-0 before he leaves boxing perhaps for good. Added publicity / exposure to a different set of combat sports fans for both, no point in taking any risks (cynical as that is).
