You can't have it both ways, either Tyson was shot to begin with against Williams, hell even against Clifford Ettiene, or he wasn't.
Remember Tyson was shot, although you couldn't find anybody before the fight who said that McBum would last more than five!!!!
Hindsight is an amazing thing!!!
If you read my post carefully that is exactly my point; you can't have it both ways!
There wasn't one person who said that McBum would last more than 5 against Tyson, yet after the fight, Tyson was shot!
I happened to believe that Tyson had been shot since about 2000, but he never fought anybody that could prove it.
I wasn't surprised when McBum beat him as the fight had long since left him.

lets be realistic, no punch could do that. it had to be an elbow.
It was pretty clear that it was a punch. It happens in round six and there is nothing that comes close to resembling an elbow in that stanza. It was a punch, as I showed in the picture. Marciano is noticably bothered by the punch immediately afterwards and rubs his nose. Watch again.
Didn't Mike Tyson rip Slammin' Sammy Scaff's nose open? I swore that happened.
As for my upset? Hmmm...Razor Ruddock throwing his pattened smash and dropping Lennox Lewis. I don't know if Bowe would have let his WBC title go then, but at least Razor would become a paper champ if he did.
George Foreman returns at age 55 and signs a contract to face Wladimir Klitschko (let's say he wins the IBF title from Byrd)---reluctantly Foreman has to sign a contract with Don King for the fight to even happen, and surprisingly gets ranked #15 by the IBF.
Klitschko agrees to the fight, feeling that at 55 and with no tune up fights, Foreman would be an easy defense of his newly won championship belt, and that his skill and jab will be enough to keep Foreman at bay.
So Foreman after 9yrs of being retired since he was champion last, comes out to face Wladimir Klitschko. Foreman for the first few rounds cant seem to find his niche, but in the middle rounds starts to get in hard shots that really hurt Klitschko.
Klitschko manages to turn the fight around and drop Foreman in the middle-late rounds, but Foreman gets up. Foreman in the late rounds realises it is all or nothing in this final venture for the Heavyweight Crown, and starts to be far more aggressive.
Wladimir Klitschko is fading out fast, his legs rubbery, but he tries to stay on the defensive backing away from Foreman---the fight is very close, 115-113.
It is the 12th round....
Foreman bleeding from his nose and mouse under his right eye, gets in defense mode and awaits for Klitschko to come in, rather than chase him around the ring and get that 85" reach slammed into his face.
Klitschko comes in, Foreman feints the right, hits Klitschko hard with a left that has the Ukranian stunned and wobbly and Foreman with one last mighty punch nails Klitschko as hard as he can, and Klitschko goes down.
But Klitschko will not be denied, he fights to get to his knees, and when the referee calls out NINE! Klitschko gets up quick, loses his balance and falls into the ropes---the referee calls it off with just 20 some odd seconds left to go in the round.
FOREMAN BECOMES THE IBF HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION AT AGE 55!
