I have a question for you, since you used the term "coy"; why are you being so coy and not simply stating outright that you train with Brendan Ingle? I am also not attempting to be goady, just genuinely curious.
I'm just glad Ingle won't allow broken noses. Too bad he can't bring that magic to fight night. and include eye sockets.
Well, because it would be pointless. How would a broken nose in sparring prevent a damaged eye socket in a fight? But if you want to fight a guy two weight categories above yours you probably should expect some damage. Ultimately his (Kell's) call, and his risk to take.

Thought you had me on ignore?

Don't know what fugazi means, care to explain? Or Partner boy?
He's calling you a fake. I don't think you are, reading your comments. We hardly had a broken nose, a bloody nose is one thing, but full broken with that deep red blood, can't remember seeing much of that. Or maybe I was at a pussys gym  . As for the question about how satisfying boxing is. It's a great sport. Can give you tremendous confidence. What can hamper your experience is your trainer. I was very young....and naive and really looked up to my trainer. Very much trusted him. Not sure how he conned his way into getting a boxing coach license but obviously he did, maybe because he was "fighting" also. And he conned a lot of people and still does to this day but is not in any way a predominate Aus coach.

Wasted a couple years with him until some of us moved on. He would tell us things like he was going to compete in the Commonwealth and Olympic games. He rarely fought (we are talking once every couple of years) and rarely sparred, when he did spar us it was after we were visibly exhausted, and when he did fight I witnessed him lose and witnessed him blame us for the loss saying that it was because of the sparring. Still stays with me a bit as his name is sometimes mentioned, I probably should let it go but pretty disappointing. Anyway I found a good trainer but still had some bad habits but that's life and I'm playing the blame game.

I'm not suggesting it happens all the time. To say that a good gym won't allow it is ridiculous.

I'm sorry to hear you had a crappy coach, I hope you are in a better place now.
