Good battle could go either way. Brant is a sucker for that left hook though.

Another one I'd give to Braehmer in the 4th. It was a little closer than the 3rd round was, but Braehmer did the better work overall. He's giving Brant a lot of problems with his 1-2 combo.

Braehmer may have a broken nose, but he took the 5th round. This is an interesting fight.

Got a feeling Brant doesn't fancy this.

Intriguing, Brant seem to be tiring - Braehmer's nose has gone. Shot called Low I think right at the end, had Brant in distress - borderline if it was low or not.

Braehmer punches in combination, Brant punches one at a time. Combination punching is winning the fight.

Brant just can't deal with the southpaw style. Move your head to the left when you see the left coming man!!!

Brant is decent, but it's a big ask to beat Braehmer on the cards in Germany for your first step up in an away fight.

he lacks the size and pace of Clev to bother Braehmer who looks comfortable

Can see Kalle in the crowd and you just know the guy is having a whale of a time no matter what.

I could go through the Boxrec poster curse, but that Clev performance is looking increasingly odd. I never thought it was Braehmer's character to quit - he is a hard man. Looking at his technique here, I do think his injury was genuine.

How long does it usually take to fully recover from a Broken nose? Could we possibly see Smith vs Ryder semi final?

"plenty of physical vitality to add to his vast experience in the boxing ring"
from Ron.

Clev was all wrong for Braehmer and Braehmer is all wrong for Brant.

Brant needs a KO to win surely ?

Brant had one of his best rounds of the fight in the 8th, but it ain't gonna be enough to get him out of the hole he's in even if he's able to finish the fight like that. He's lost 6 rounds to Braehmer in Germany meaning he's effectively lost the fight unless he can do something dramatic.

6-2 Braehmer

I agree with you. Germans very rarely quit. His career doesn't indicate nothing but a serious injury. Smith v Braehmer could be a good sf. Smith is so overrated.

Yep - can imagine Braehmer just jabbing and boxing Smith - never letting him get set to unload the bombs and winning a boring masterclass.
I love a boring masterclass :box:

Braehmer's got this now for sure. He took the 9th round, and nothing short of a KO is gonna save the fight for Brant now. He hasn't seriously hurt Braehmer at any point, and has never been 12 so the possibility seems slim. We'll see though.

I had JB up vs clev by 1 prior to the quit, though you could clearly see clevs game plan that may have seen him benefit late on

Have to admit i thought JB jacked that fight
