Going into 12. Braehmer well clear. Predict final scores to be c 117-111.

This just shows what a lazy bar steward Braehmer has been his whole career.
He goes 12 rounds at good pace @ SMW for the first time @ 38 after a year out ?!
He coulda started @ Super-Welter :witzend:

Braehmer has been fantastic, a real clinic. Really enjoyed this - Brant can come again. He has some talent for me. Decent speed, stamina etc.

Braehmer fights like that, he'll give Smith fits.

118-110 Braehmer

Clear cut win for him.

I figure Callum Smith will be able to beat him, but it could be interesting.

Braehmer schooled him. Dunno what Brants gameplan was he looked fckin clueless at times. Good win for the old timer.

If Braehmer is that bust up from Brant, you'd think Callum should be able to force a stoppage, but if he can't Braehmer wins the decision, Shirley ?

Brant seems like a nice guy. Just didn't know how to deal with the southpaw style. He said it best, his timing was brilliant. Couple of good semi finals now.

Credit where its due.... Well done Braehmer. Brant looks gone from the moment the 'low/legal' (however you want to call it) landed after round 5 or 6.

Can't remember which one it was...

I gave 117-111 Braemer, performance slightly above average, relatively easy work and he schooled Brant. Against Smith he will definitely have trouble and perhaps can win.

Final score: ' B- ' for Braemer (he rarely is better than that).

I think Callum will beat Braehmer handily, but I'll admit Braehmer did better than I expected today so maybe I'm still selling him short.

I just wonder, you know. Braehmer at his best is a decent offensive technician, Smith is definitely hittable and i wonder if his walk straight in style might be made for a southpaw potshotter to pick apart a little. I'd have to assume Smith would look to have a high tempo fight and get to close quarters and if I had to bet I'd bet on him sort of outworking/out muscling Braehmer.

But Smith does mark up and Braehmer out cuting him and stopping him getting into his rhythm, wouldn't shock me somehow.

Braehmer potshotting Smith with counter lefts is the main image I have in my mind imagining this fight

It wasn't a great fight but it was a great performance from Braehmer, I thought he won every round, the 1st 6 rounds were dire but Braehmer's class was always the diffrerence, Brant was effing woeful, one of the worst undefeated fighters ive seen, did people think he won rounds?

Braehmer in all fairness was class, had a great QF, dominated Brant with little ease, nose apart he'll be up for Callum

Haven't seen this yet but a lot of people unimpressed with Brant judging by what I'm reading. Really strange that Braehmer is apparently effective at 168 yet never tried to get in on the possible fights with Abraham, Stieglitz, Sturm etc. Surely he'd have made more money there than up at 175?

Who knows I wouldn't be surprised if he can still get fights with those 3 guys

I called this one wrong, expected youth and energy to overcome an older guy whose at a lower weight than he’s been for some time. The script looked there, but you have to take your hat off to JB

I still think smith should be too much, but smith impressed me less and less these days. If JB has a strong south paw jab vs Smith it’ll be a real good base for him. How JB handles the left hooks to the body at 168 will be interesting

Good fight last night but Callum Smith stops Braehmar late on in my view...

Eubank Jr outpoints Groves

Then Eubank Jr outworks Smith

I think Braehmer is a bit flattered by that win. Brant was clueless. Smith will bring pressure and size and that should be enough to get to Braehmer. Smith will walk onto some shots no doubt but he will land his own and I was surprised to see Braehmer so marked up.
