Once apon a time im sure many boxing fans went to a live show in hope Buffer was going to do his jingle. But lets face it now its past its best and i cant believe he still earning over here.
Whats he actually bringing these days to a main event?
The hype train has to stop. He’s fought one world level fighter who was many years past his best and went life and death with him. Struggling to put away a game but limited fringe contender reveals AJ’s true level. And we can’t just blame the hype on eddie and the media, AJ himself has started spouting off about legcy and history like he’s entering ATG territory.
Big stiff idiot ? Tyson’s probably right and i think if tyson gets anywhere near the level he was when he beat Wlad in Germany then he’ll embarrass AJ. Big if though.

He got hit a lot. Fury would box circles round him if fully fit.
We're going to have this Fury myth forever now aren't we.
Just an opinion shared by most that the Fury who beat Wlad would have toyed with any version of AJ. It never happened so we will never know. Just like we can't be 100% sure how any fight would have finished that didn't take place.
Ps We don't need reminding for the millionth time Tyson is overweight and has ate pies and taken cocaine in the past...

To be fair Takam could easily have got a draw with Parker and was level with Povetkin. Joshua won every round and dropped him with a broken nose.
The Fury hype myth is getting more ludicrous by the day. He won a terrible, close, low action fight against the worst Wlad in memory and it would have been no surprise had Wlad been given the nod. He was sat on his backside by Pajkic and given a ludicrously early stoppage. Cunningham dropped and hurt him. To suggest any version of Fury embarrasses Joshua is daft.

No way. 100k minimum and that’s a conservative estimate. He’s not gonna agree to spend 4 or 5 days in a god forsaken dump like cardiff for a miserly 20k ffs !!! He’s worth tens of millions at a bare minimum.

By 'most' you mean 'most of your mates?'
Because a lot of people think Joshua beats Fury whichever version turns up.

Parker isnt world class and povetkin was schooled by the proper version of wlad so hes not really world class either. I think it can reasonably becargued that fury beat wlad more comfortably than aj did. A prime fury makes easy work of takam too imo.

I'm not saying Parker or Povetkin are world class but the reality is you are going to struggle to make a case for how Fury destroys Joshua based on a performance where Joshua dropped Takam and won every round against him.

400mill according to several sources.
He could probably buy cardiff so spending 4 nights in the cardiff travel tavern for 20 grand probably wouldn’t tempt him

I agree
And I agree with CaptainSpacerods comments
Joshua is nothing special at all
You can almost see the rage in Fury fans every time Joshua wins and gets paid. It's quite sweet.

I mean there are questions with AJ but chin checked out v wlad and he got back up from a shot that would have ended most HWs, heart is all there given he dragged through 2 gruelling rounds v wlad and camebacl to KO the guy and his toughness was proven that night too.
He also didn't really complain at thr time abouy the head to the nose last night.
To suggest that Tyson Fury at his best would beat AJ is laughable.
What is 'at his best'?
For me we will never know how good Fury was or would have been. People say AJ has only fought one world class opponent but same could be said about Fury. Fury v Klit was aweful both did not test each other and Fury won. Not a pinnicle fight was it. Aj v Klit was completely different both men traded in a decent world title fight.
Tyson was improving but got to a level and never progressed because he self exploded while AJ is improving to a higher level than Fury ever reached.
I never saw anything in Fury that suggested he could school Aj not saying he couldnt beat Aj that we will never know.
If anyone thinks Fury can come back and reach those dizzy heights again within a year are crazy. While AJ is improving Fury is and always will be declining in terms of shape, fitness, and boxing skill.

I've heard conflicting reports on his wealth, it doesn't make sense that he'd get paid exorbitant sums to announce fights, it's not like people wouldn't tune in to watch a PPV because buffer wasn't the ring announcer is it.
Also, the stuff about licencing of his catchphrase, no way on god's earth would any business pay a fortune to use his catchphrase in some boxing game, as it adds very little to the finished product, or financially.

This appears more definitive than most in terms of sources, though I'd be inclined to agree that 400 mill has an element of hyperbole: http://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/other-spor ... r-millions
As for businesses paying a lot to use his phrase in video games (you're referring to 'Ready 2 Rumble'), I spent some time working closely with that industry, and the amount of sums spent on things like this would potentially surprise you. Him getting in the hundreds of thousands for that gig wouldn't shock me.

I think a poll of boxing fans would show that most people would back a fit prime fury to box the ears off Joshua. Last night showed that when Joshua can't land clean he is far from scintillating. Fury is a better technical boxer than joshua.
I don’t understand why people are so convinced the ref saved Takam from a brutal KO......
AJ was blowing hard and fading , his punches were landing but not with much snap and if AJ couldn’t hurt him during the first 9rounds then what makes people convinced of Takams impending doom during the last 3 ??
AJ landed 1 shot clean and the ref was dying to jump in, you can it on his face “ nows my chance!!!! “
Would Takam have done anything during the remender of the fight? Unlikely but he deserved the chance to go for it.
No wonder Wilder wants 7 million to come over and fight Whyte ? The ref would be ready to jump in and wave his arms around like a mad man or failing that the old split decision.....

Joke of a PPV
There seems to be a train of thought that if someone is losing on points and is unlikely to get a decision it's OK to stop the fight which I think is nonsense unless someone is getting continually beaten up. Takam lost just about every round but his strategy was clearly to take Joshua into the later rounds. That is a legitimate strategy which was denied by a trigger happy referee. He was hardly getting beaten up, in fact Joshua was struggling to land cleanly all night. I still think Joshua would have won the fight but the stoppage was a disgraceful one.
