Mike Tyson is a rapist, Riddick Bowe kidnapped his wife and kids, Chisora beat his girlfriend up, Liston was a robber. Dozens of other boxers have done bad things and a lot of them went to jail. The public are willing to forgive on the basis of entertainment; my point is they don't think Fury is entertaining. His fight against Wlad was slaughtered and his ticket sales are dire. People loved a Hatton comeback, and a Bruno comeback, but they were popular to begin with.

That's the thing, the general public were never in love with him in the first place, and in fact, many people are diffident or even totally unaware of him, so even his notoriety is overstated.
