Ticket for the fight said Eddie Hearn and AJ Boxing - so I'm guessing in time Hearn will be used purely used for his link to Sky as his exclusive contract prohibits any other promoters/fighters working with Sky who are from the UK. AJ will probably just use Hearn on a fight by fight basis as a consultant and pay a lot less then he is currently. If Hearn doesn't like it, AJ will no doubt go to BT.
When does AJ's current Matchroom contract end?
Hearn has no other stand alone PPV fighters. Brook will need a strong card and Bellew is soon to retire. Hearn may struggle if AJ moves on in time.
So how long will AJ still be promoted by Hearn?
Re: So how long will AJ still be promoted by Hearn?
AJ still has around a year left on his contract, based off the fact that a three year contract renewal bas announced back in November 2018. I assume there may have been clauses in the contact that will extend the deal however, world titles, Vegas, Wembley etc for example.
Hearn has been great for AJ and British boxing as a whole, and it is rare to see someone do considerably better when they go alone.
