WBC became the biggest joke!!!!!!!!!

Post by IronFrost »

Vitali Klitschko , Adonis Stevenson ... Deontay Wilder ..... and many others boxers have crap resumes because WBC is not "hard enough".

Let's take look on Vitali's last opponents and their rankings!

Manuel Charr - ranked number 37
Dereck Chisora - ranked number 22 :OhYes:

or for example Kevin KINGPIN Johnson ranked number 42 !!! :OhYes: :OhYes: :OhYes:

Now we have Adonis Stevenson who had no mandatory for years . (Wilder had atleast some reasons - failed drugs tests and bla bla)

And the biggest cherry from WBC is Bermane "Buffet King" Stiverne as a mandatory challanger after 2 years doing almost notting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Come on WBC

I wont even blame their boxers ... Because it's all their fault.... Crap rankings , crap mandatories and they are not hard enough on their boxers

Where did you get your rankings? Did you make them up? You can't challenge for a world title unless you're rated in the top fifteen.

From Wilder his opponents, only Szpilka and Stiverne had a higher boxrec rating as Kevin Johnson had at the time he fought Klitschko.
In the 7 years before the Kevin Johnson fight, Klitschko only fought higher ranked guys and continued to do this till the last fight in his carreer several years later.

At this moment, I don't even know how low Stiverne his rating is, but I would be surprised if it was higher.
Chisora is far better as anyone Wilder ever fought in his pro carreer.

I don't disagree with this assessment but what about the WBA ???? They strike me as even more shite. WBO aren't wonderful either nor for that matter are the IBF although in my opinion they are the best of a bad bunch.

As they say "In the kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed man is king"

What have the BoxRec rankings got to do with the WBC’s rankings?

How did you obtain your BoxRec ranking figures for the opponents that Vitali faced?

I think the WBA and the WBC are the worst. Loads of belts, meaningless silver titles, creating special commemorative belts, super and normal champions. Rubbish

The WBO ranked a dead guy a few years back ffs, and somehow they’re better than them. There’s a small part of me that still considers this the worst title though. I know it’s not but it’s the sentimental part of me I guess

The IBF arent so bad aside from the stripping of fury after 2 weeks saga

I meant ratings, not rankings, sorry for that (despite that would possibly only makes things worse), I don't know any way to check the rankings at the time.
WBC rankings are a joke, as we all know.

I’m not challenging your assertion, because I have previously articulated my own complaints against the WBC.

The thing I’m struggling with, are the numbers that you’re citing. I don’t understand them or their relevance to the point you are trying to convey.

I’m not sure if the BoxRec “ratings” that you’ve quoted actually support your argument, because if those numbers aren’t actually rankings, then they serve no purpose whatsoever.

Those are the Premier Boxing Organisation Ratings. They are totally independent. They started in 1991. We list a lot 100 in every division and any title fight, or the lineage history you can check the pre-fight rankings of the champion and the challenger. The ratings are created by the man that beat the man you can't amass lots of points for beating poor fighters like in Boxrec

In terms of challengers. The WBC are the best by miles and have been number 1 every single year since 1993. The WBA are the worst and a long way behind the IBO. The IBF are usually the 2nd best but there have been years where the WBO have been second best.

Vitali Klitschko fought very poor quality opponents when he was defending, that does not matter whose rating's your want to think are best. Wladimir pretty much fought everyone that was available.
