Crawford is Horn's mandatory

It talks about 90 days after Horn's voluntary defense on December 13th, but I don't see anything scheduled in boxrec.

Terence Crawford Announced as Jeff Horn's Mandatory By WBO

Post by Ruthless-RKO »

The WBO announced Thursday through its Twitter account that it has made Terence Crawford the mandatory challenger for WBO welterweight champion Jeff Horn.

The sanctioning organization also announced that representatives for Crawford and Horn must schedule their fight for within 90 days after Horn’s optional defense December 13 in Brisbane, Australia. Bob Arum’s Top Rank Inc. is Crawford’s promoter and Horn’s co-promoter, thus the deal should be relatively easy to complete.

The WBO’s announcement officially signaled Crawford’s move from 140 pounds to 147 and ended the undefeated Crawford’s reign as boxing’s undisputed super lightweight champion.

The 30-year-old Crawford (32-0, 23 KOs) is not expected to fight again until he challenges Horn for the WBO welterweight title.

I guess Horn's reign will be a short one.

I think it was always going to be brief. At least he gets an earn before Christmas and another with Crawford. I hope the fight gets made for Oz, that's where the money will be. Jeff is still early in his career, a loss to Crawford shouldn't harm him too much.
Should be entertaining, Horn is a tough customer, it will take more than a few body shots to drop him and his chin is good.

As it should be, since he didnt deserve the win over Pac.

TC will expose this crude brawler for the 2nd/3rd-rate talent he truly is and send him back to school teaching where he belongs.

His good chin will get him a nasty beating. Manny is no Crawford.

East nights work for Crawford

Great opportunity for horn to share the ring with one of the current best

I mean no disrespect to Pacquaio as he was a great, but he’s clearly on the slide now

Will be interesting to see what happens if manny decides he wants to fight horn again. Arum has obviously positioned crawford for the fight, but will he change course if manny wants it? Or is he going to let crawford win the belt and then cash out manny in a ppv against crawford?

Yeah, Horn is absolutely made for Crawford, brutal matchup for him, just walking into Crawfords wheelhouse without the speed to shock him, the punch to scare him, the subtlety or imagination to be tactical with him, just walking forward eating shots like he's starving.

That won't go past 3 or 4 rounds.

Manny has nothing to say about it. The WBO already mandated the fight.

The build up has already begun for the next fight of the decade type fight. Spence vs. Crawford is going to be ridiculously good. I don't think anyone can say with certainty who will win. I think that Crawford is going to be even more destructive to the opposition at 147 as he's proven that he gets more powerful as he moves up in weight. His weight gain recently on the day of the fight shows you how much weight he's having to cut and he's still not showing any ill effects of weight loss. Watch what he does when he's eating the days leading up to a fight. Big difference.

Thurman is all done I think . He's appearing soft in interviews and these young cats have way too much skill and fire for him at this stage of his game.

Bad news for Horn.
Really shoulda took the Manny rematch.
"They" say Manny wanted the fight in Vegas or the Philippines.

Why the F*** not?
I think Horn won at least 4 rounds against an aging fighter.
He could at least have had a chance against Manny.
It would have been a very good payday.

Crawford can completely outbox Horn for 36 rounds and not lose a minute.
It will be for less money than a Manny fight.

I'm hearing Horn has been struggling to make 147. Don't be suprised if he makes a move to 154.

The talk of horn going to 154 has been around sometime. There were murmurs of getting cotto to Australia at 154 for a big pay day but that went quiet when Corcoran was named.
Hearing similar comments on here on horn v Crawford that were made prior to PAC v horn!!

Crawford being Horn's mandatory will make it suddenly impossible for Horn to make 147, imo. ;-)

While I like Horn, Crawford chews him up and spits him out before the 6th round.

Crawford shouldn't wait that long for Horn. If I was Arum, I would schedule Crawford a fight at 147 before fighting Horn, so he could get used the weigh more. He can put him against Vargas or Mathysse which could be decent fights.

GBP want Mathysse to fight for Regular WBA title
