Re: Prime Wladimir Klichko vs Prime Golota
Wlad is another level to golota .
Re: Prime Wladimir Klichko vs Prime Golota
Wlad would either knock him out early or beat him up until Golota fouled his way out of the fight.
Bottom line: Golota ain't walking out of the ring with his hand raised. Against ANY Wlad. The Prime Champion Wlad or the Wlad that got wrecked by Corrie Sanders and Lamon Brewster even. Wlad's a better fighter than Golota.

Wladimir would shut-out Golota, possibly even stop him late.
Re: Prime Wladimir Klichko vs Prime Golota
Prime Wladimir is the only man to knock out Fast Eddie Chambers and Calvin Brock... and took out Thompson, Brewster, Byrd, Peter, and Austin... and dominated Ibragimov, Haye, and Povetkin.. It's not man who suffered 3 KO losses before his 10 year reign as Heavyweight Champion.
Golota wouldn't have been half as accomplished if he were fortunate enough to have a trainer like Emmanuel Steward -- because he wasn't an outstanding athlete and lacked the smarts, heart, dedication, and work ethic of an ATG Heavyweight Champion.. The fight would last 1 or 2 rounds because Golota was a dead on target.. A super sized and tall Heavyweight, with a great jab and straight right hand, couldn't miss the target.
I would say Mariusz Wach, when he was 27-0, would have beaten Golota decisively.. And that's a better matchup.. Wach was much bigger and taller. wasn't an easier target, and he had a cast-iron chin... Also Haye, Povetkin, and Chambers would have made easy work out of Golota.

Klitschko, naturally.
Maybe a borderline top 10 all time heavyweight. Certainly top 15.
Golota could be gutless. He would look for a way out of the way fight by the 5th round.

The golota that fought bowe would be a nightmare for wlad.
Re: Prime Wladimir Klichko vs Prime Golota
Golota was a more cowardly and fragile version of Kubrat Pulev and Ray Austin.. Klitschko had nothing but contempt for incompetents like them.
Re: Prime Wladimir Klichko vs Prime Golota
Wlad under manny steward would out smart golota to a decision win
Young Wlad that got rag filled by sanders would get beat up by golota. Unless golota DQ’s he out scraps that version of wlad

Re: Prime Wladimir Klichko vs Prime Golota
Emanuel Steward, Phil Jackson and their former sparring partner (I believe his name is Kevin Ford) all said that Wlad hit harder than Lewis. But Wlad was more catious and less versalite offencively comparing to Lennox, so I'd say he would KO Golota in the mid rounds. Had Wlad decided to start fast, it could be over in the first round. But I don't see him starting fast against Golota who was coming from two DQ losses against Riddick Bowe. Wlad would be catious.
Re: Prime Wladimir Klichko vs Prime Golota
i really rate wlads power but aside from throwing less i think he started pulling his shots a bit to avoid gassing and being caught. when he was an aggressive fighter he was a scary offense machine with even good combo punching, albeit it did leave him more vulnerable. stark contrast btwn his explosive offense and his brothers powerless slappy arm punching stuff.Boxing Writer wrote: ↑02 Nov 2017, 14:52 Emanuel Steward, Phil Jackson and their former sparring partner (I believe his name is Kevin Ford) all said that Wlad hit harder than Lewis. i havent seen enough of golota but to me he never looked very good at all yet there was still something obviously effective about him that allowed him to trouble good fighters.

Funny how these things work in our heads. I think the younger, aggressive wlad is better suited to blow golota out.
Re: Prime Wladimir Klichko vs Prime Golota
Golota never beat anyone good... He couldn't even beat slow assed Michael Grant who Dominic Guinn ran over.. Even the inept Sergei Liackhovich beat the turds out of Dom Guinn to show how far below world class Grant was.. That didn't bother Grant a bit when he faced the Foul Pole.. I want to know of ONE (1) decent Heavyweight who the mentally challenged Golota ever beat.. That guy was too dumb to out-box anybody.
It may have taken Wladimir Klitschko a long time to get his skills together ... but he improved his game with relentless drive and determination that also-rans like Golota, Bowe, Grant, Guinn, Ruiz, Briggs, Ibragimov, Chagaev, and Liackhovich, just couldn't match.

Why would he need to beat anybody? He was ahead on all scorecards against bowe. Isn't that more important than winning?Kalan wrote: ↑02 Nov 2017, 18:24 Golota never beat anyone good... The bum fouled out. You don't deserve any respect for being an unhinged mental case... Bowe was one the easiest guys to punch in the head and Golota still couldn't pull it off -- because he couldn't help punching Bowe in the balls. He was so stupid it was embarrassing to the Poles.

I have no doubt that Wlad would stop Golota
Re: Prime Wladimir Klichko vs Prime Golota
Any idiot can... but you don't go to the scorecards when you deliberately foul out... You DO if you're cut and fouls contributed to the cut.
When Ward headed Kessler it helped the cut along... They went to the scorecards. It was a Technical Decision Win for Ward, not a stoppage.
If it it didn't go 4 rounds? It's a draw.
Re: Prime Wladimir Klichko vs Prime Golota
No doubt as quickly as he stopped Ray Austin if his game were developed to that point...
Few appreciate how hard Wladimir worked on his craft -- bringing up to 16 sparring partners into camp at his best.. He certainly got a slow start for a guy with an Olympic Gold Medal and about 200 amateur fights.. At 28 years of age Joshua is certainly well ahead of where Wladimir was.. Though he had a fewer than a 4th the amateur fights and less than half the professional fights.. Wladimir wasn't gifted with a boxing brain like AJ -- though a lot of it has to do with superior coaching to this point.. Joe Louis was really lucky to get teamed up with Jack Blackburn at 20.
Re: Prime Wladimir Klichko vs Prime Golota
He's making fun of the fact that you're always on your high horse about Vitali and Lennox Lewis even though Vitali's cuts were opened by punches. Golota was winning HIS fight too before he didn't. His point is just because you were ahead in the fight before you lost doesn't erase the fact that you still lost the fight.Kalan wrote: ↑03 Nov 2017, 10:14

Wlad couldn't even beat Puritty who couldn't even beat slow assed Michael Grant.... And Golota crushed McBride who sent Iron Mike Tyson hiding into retirement. He drew with Byrd, as opposed to quitting against him like never knocked-down Vitali did. Golota never lost to a golfer either.Kalan wrote: ↑02 Nov 2017, 18:24 Golota never beat anyone good... Re: Prime Wladimir Klichko vs Prime Golota
You're talking about a pre-Steward Wladimir... Everyone knows he had terrible outings and couldn't fight well.. But he listened real good and worked hard.. After he was with an ATG trainer for 2 years and worked out his flaws -- he was damned near unbeatable for the next 11.Jaywheel wrote: ↑03 Nov 2017, 13:46 Wlad couldn't even beat Puritty who couldn't even beat slow assed Michael Grant.... Golota never learned a damned thing and he wouldn't listen.. He wouldn't do the work and never got any better or smarter.
Re: Prime Wladimir Klichko vs Prime Golota
Wlad, of course, had much more of a class. Mentally and skill-wise. I'd say, Klitschko by mid-late TKO.
