This is going to seem nonsensical.... but think about it.... Frank Bruno: everyone knew his catchphrases, everyone knew his voice, he was one of the most recognisable faces in the U.K.

He's a quiet guy doesnt say a lot but when he speaks he chooses every word carefully and its fascinating to listen to when hes winding someone up.

I found him to be overly arrogant and thought he was much better than what he was.
His intelligence thing was over stated too. I remember once he was asked to translate some basic Welsh on a sky show and instead of saying that he wasn't a Welsh speaker, he just tried to blag it and got it completely wrong! I guess barely anyone noticed it though as the language isn't widely spoken.

I'd have to go with Naseem Hamed as well. I've seen a few people mention him.
Ricky Hatton as well, but I don't know if it was charisma as much as it was that he just seemed like one of the fellas from around town, and would drink and the pub and what not so the people had a special bond with him. He's definitely one of the most beloved British fighters I've seen though.

Hatton capture the fans hearts like no other, except possibly Frank Bruno. About 30k people crossed the Atlantic to one of his fights in Vegas. It’s a tremendous achievement from him in a way.gilgamesh wrote: ↑04 Nov 2017, 11:11 I'd have to go with Naseem Hamed as well. I've seen a few people mention him.

Frampton, Warrington, Joshua probably have the biggest followings I’d say now, but they’re all some way behind what Hatton was able to achieve imo
