Dmitry Bivol vs Trent Broadhurst

Post by handsofstone »

For the vacant WBA Light Heavyweight title on this Saturday, I'm assuming its for Ward's old "Super" title and Jack is still paper champ, I'm a big fan of Bivol he looks a monster, another one of those modern Eastern Europeans, still early day but he looks like he'll be a force, I don't know Broadhurst but looking through his record he shouldn't cause Bivol too much problems, he was KO'd by a guy Bivol knocked out, I can see it being another routine demolition for Bivol

Will be interesting to see if Bivol’s signing with Matchroom USA long term.

Jack vacated after Bivol was mandated.

Bivol is 1/200 with bookmakers last time I checked so I expect him to end this fight early.

I think many more people will jump on the Bivol bandwagon on Saturday.

I've rated him since watching him on the Povetkin v Wach undercard ( absolutely insane card btw)

Think there will be legit fights for him next year. Sullivan Barrera is number 1 in the WBA rankings. That's a fight I'd love to see.

I'm already on the Bivol bandwagon. Kids a good fighter. I figured he was gonna kick Badou Jack's ass. Badou Jack was wise not to fight him. He can make a lot more to fight a much more beatable opponent in Adonis Stevenson.

bivol looks good but hes been a can crusher. his opponents arent even remotely close to being top fighters. not one of them has even been a legit contender. ultra weak opponent for a title fight.

I think his opponents have been relatively solid for a fighter of only 11 Pro fights. It'll be interesting to see how he fares when the competition goes up, but I think he'll run through Broadhurst like he has his other recent opponents.

yes for his number of fights hes been moved okay. but people are already talking about him as an elite lhw and i just want to see him prove himself more given those claims. his opponents are so far off being world class that i cant be convinced by him at that level yet.

is samuel clarkson his best opponent? samuel clarkson, cedric agnew, badou jack, felix valera, rob berridge. one of these aint like the others!

Wow that was a lovely KO for Bivol, never even looked like there was much on the punch but it was delivered perfect and Broadhurst was gubbed, I'm not sure about the knockdown earlier in the round, looked bogus to me but i'll need to see a replay, its irrelevant anyhow mind

I never expected Broadhurst to give Bivol any problems so nothing learned in that regard but that KO was the damage

Talk of eleider Alvarez next as part of a step aside deal for Stevenson v jack.

Alvarez and Barrera are same level IMO so either is good fight for Bivol.

I've rated him highly for a couple of years but next year we will see if he is legit or not.
