Porter-Granados
Did Granados really think he won? Where am I the twilight zone?
Re: Porter-Granados
maybe he thinks just the championship rounds count
Re: Porter-Granados
No Porter won, in a 15 round fight Granados was well on his way to the win. To think cheerleading is a more dangerous occupation to boxing?
Re: Porter-Granados
I had it 116-112 Granados. When Granados cried robbery the crowd booed him which was appropriate.
I thought Lipinets deserved the decision against the Japanese guy too even though the crowd booed that one for some reason. It was closer than Porter vs Granados though.

Re: Porter-Granados
Porter got one ugly style. Pity he and Maidana didn't fight. That would be a great MMA contest.
Re: Porter-Granados
Granados won more fans than Porter did last night until he mentioned that he thought that he won. I did think that this fight was closer than the scorecards had it. To only give Grandos 1 of the rounds in the first 10 was a bit alarming to me. A lot of those rounds were very tough to score. Porter clearly won though but Granados is a blast to watch. Always has been.

Re: Porter-Granados
Porter is really hard to watch. He is worse for headbutting than Bradley ever was. I wish they would deduct points too for double leg takedowns. He still won though. Granados was foolish staying on the ropes as much as he did.

Re: Porter-Granados
Porter fights are always messy but he deserved the win anyway. Granados put in a good performance but is a level below, him vs Rios, Collazo type guys would be good, winnable fights for him. I was watching the UK feed so not sure if this got a mention on the US broadcast but did anyone else think the referee was annoying? He tried to get them to work inside to be fair but whenever he broke them he was really forcefully pushing Granados away, keeping his hand on his chest for a good few seconds while Porter was allowed to reset.
Re: Porter-Granados
I don't think Bradley or Porter did all that much headbutting, they were just aggressive swarming type fighters, and that kinda sh*t happens with that kinda style.
Porter's not a dirty fighter, just an aggressive one.
Re: Porter-Granados
Al Bernstein was really pissed off at the referee about that, and mentioned it multiple times. He said "Why does he keep shoving Granados? That's absolutely uncalled for, and wrong!"ElJefe wrote: ↑05 Nov 2017, 16:09 Porter fights are always messy but he deserved the win anyway. A side or no the referee shouldn't be doing that kinda sh*t to either side.

Re: Porter-Granados
Porter deserved the win, but man what a fight.. He was hammering Granados with everything but the kitchen sink and the dude just kept coming. This was the first time I ever saw Adrian Granados in action and I can see why he'd be a nightmare for anyone to fight.
Re: Porter-Granados
Never been a fan of Porter's style. It's a mess. Guys like Porter deserve DQs for that head going in, it's wreckless. If you can't control your head when you're swinging you got no place in a ring.

Re: Porter-Granados
Fun fight. I really enjoyed it
Re: Porter-Granados
It was dangerous in places. He also tried out some classic Ward moves like leaping in with a wild overhand right and his head forward to either hit or clinch. It was an entertaining fight, but Porters excessive holding in the later rounds should have been addressed. I counted 17 holds in the 11th. He was tired, Granados wasn't.
Re: Porter-Granados
Not intentionally dirty, but his height and style makes it that way.
