I think the result may come down to that and if it holds up, I think he may take AJ. Hits hard enough, wild enough to throw all sorts of bombs at AJ which are hard to defnd against so one will get through and when Josh gets hurt, his recovery takes literally rounds. He flattens out and stamina and fitness seems to fail him and if Wilder can maintain a pace then he could hurt him then finish the job.

AJ needs to stop whatever he is doing which is piling on the muscle as it is a clear hindrance. That was obvious after the Wlad fight and instead he piled on more.
I really thought he'd learn the lesson and lose a bit of bulk. Alas, he bulked up even more.

I would still make him a favourite against Wilder. Has a better chin (I suspect) and generally he's the better boxer and therefore more likely to land the big shot first.

If Wilder goes in swinging like he did last night his only chance is a lucky shot catching AJ clean and early but I think McCracken will have a decent game plan. AJ is not quite the upright stiff orthodox that some think and he is improving his defence every time he fights, lets see how Deontay looks when faced by a game opponent who also carries legit HW power. Joshua a clear favourite for me, 60-40 at least.

On the subject of polls I think it needs to be made clearer that you can change your vote and how you can do it.

I only watched it on YouTube but wasn't fight over as soon as Stiverne hit the floor? Was three knockdown rule in force? If it was, you cannot disqualify after a fight has ended
I don't think Wilder did anything wrong last night, just saying i wish the ref could separate them without the wrestling.

the polls should stay open for people to change their minds right up to fight night.

The results are not up to date as things change and I thought It would be useful to take a look at current thoughts on the back of their recent fights and not from December 2016 like the original poll. Weeshaw argues that people can change their vote but that is naively stupid. I did not know that was possible, many others may be the same, some people who voted may have left the forum, may be dead, may not read the thread etc so it will always be skewed and not show accurate up to date thoughts.

(if this was a bad idea, I apologise and will not do it again)
You do whatever you want mate. Let the old poll reflect views then and the new one views now.

Joshua wins and fairly early. Wilder has been made to look bang average by lot less fighters than Joshua.

Really, nothing in any of his fights suggests he will change his style completely after all this time. They will both slog it out come mid rounds and timber will be called. Personally Wilder is too wild and easily hitable. Joshua is a better boxer so should stop him towards the mid to latter rounds

AJ is a very well drilled boxer but I think he may lack boxing intelligence. He can follow the ABC of a plan, but I do not think he has his own boxing brain in there. As well as stamina being a problem, I think it may be the Achilles heel

Wilder stayed on the outside and boxed to a decision in the first fight vs Stiverne.
If Bermane Stiverne can earn his respect I suspect AJ coming forward letting combinations go might get him pedalling.

I'd be interested to see how ambitious AJ would be in his approach. He never had too many fears of walking onto Wlad and I don't see Wilder as being more dangerous.

If he is fairly attacking someone gets stopped, it'll be risky but I fancy him to be too good, put Wilder in his shell and break him down. I don't think Deontay will be the bravest when his opponent isn't a human punch bag.

If AJ is too respectful of Deontays power I could possibly see Wilder jabbing to a dull points win

Surely AJ can avoid or weather the early onslaught, Wilders windmills should be easily nullified, Christ theyre thrown from so far away he may as well send a text message to say they're on their way. Once it becomes a tight boxing match surely AJ has upper hand.

It's THE heavyweight match up of the moment and has to be made. Either man should be willing to drop belts to make it happen.

Really speaking being the number one heavyweight boxer on the planet is, and always has ben, one of the greatest, if not the greatest, sporting triumph . It's bigger than belts and money.

Th fastest man over 100m and heavyweight boxing champion of the world are the two most prestigious sporting accolades on earth by a long chalk.
