For the vacant IBF Super Lightweight title on the Wilder/Stiverne 2 card this Saturday on Sky, ive only seen Lipinets once when he fought Walter Castillo last year, he stopped Castillo in the 7th that night but he started a bit slow , he looks strong and powerful though and like the Bivol and the rest of the Eastern Europeans, looks like he doesn't mind taking a few shots to get the job done, I haven't heard of Kondo, 20 odd wins, 6 losses never been stopped, has a couple of losses to Arakawa
Japenese are always mega durable, I can see this going the distance but being a great scrap Lipinets wins, maybe fight of the night?

I think Lipinets will stop him.
He has the ability to very quickly shift through the gears when needed.
I see him staring slow, feeling him out and pouncing on him.
Stoppage around the 6th.
Japanese haven’t travelled well in recent years.

Re: Sergey Lipinets vs Akihiro Kondo
Pretty terrible fight nothing like the war I expected, I had Lipinets winning 119-110 he's a lot more tidy than I remembered him against Castillo, he moves well, sharp and used the jab to good effect, Kondo always come forward but he was predictable as they come only ever having success with single shots,` he never really upped the gears and Lipinets was happy enough to box and move picking up the points

Re: Sergey Lipinets vs Akihiro Kondo
Don’t think Lipinets will hold that title for too long.
I’d fancy Taylor to stop him and maybe even Catterall could outwork him.
Looked easy to hit and one-paced. Still had him winning by a country mile though. The Japanese fighter gave it a go, but not good enough at that level.
