Re: what % should WILDER get against AJ ? *
what would asjkfld have to talk about if it wasnt for wilder? if wilder got kod and disappeared hed probably have an immediate moment of euphoria, but then hed realize that he no longer had a reason to exist.

I haven't voted because I think the answer largely depends on what Wilder does next. His resume is weak but he still has time to build his profile, especially in the UK. A win over Ortiz would have fuelled interest in the fight very nicely, but much better than that, and far less risky, would be to fight Whyte.
Whyte looks very beatable, the payday would be double what Wilder has earned before, and it would get UK fans demanding revenge for beating their number two. You don't need Joshua on the contract, beat Whyte convincingly and it's a given that you'll fight Joshua next. Ok it doesn't do a great deal for Wilder's profile in the US, but is a win over Breazeale, Miller or Ruiz going to make a huge splash there? Probably not. The UK is where the money is, so concentrate on getting the UK fans clamouring for the Joshua fight.
And if Eddie is trying to play fast and loose as regards options on your future then don't be shy, tell the world what strings he's trying to attach and let public opinion apply the pressure.

Wilder should be getting at least 50%. His recent devastating KO of Stivern and the follow "call out" of AJ has done more the bout than anything. He's entitled to the same pay day as AJ.
Re: what % should WILDER get against AJ ? *
If someone, or several people made an online poll of who they wanted AJ or Wilder to fight next, I would guess at least 95% of the polls would show fans want them to fight each other. They both claim they want to make the best fights for the fans. AJ isn't afraid to fight, but its obvious Hearn doesn't want it right now.
The reason Wilder made the outrageous claim of wanting $7 million for Whyte is because Hearn had promised him Joshua next, and Wilder knows he would make more vs Joshua. Now he is promising Joshua next if Wilder comes across the pond and beats Whyte. Hearn speaks with a forked tongue. If he is making the promise again, why not put it in writing?

I was gonna say about 35% for Wilder, but let's be honest, by the time Joshua retires, he'll have more money than he could ever spend, if he hasn't already. Give the fans what they want for a change, give him 50%, get the fight on, get the belts unified, and start thinking about legacies rather than obscene amounts of money.

I know it's a career for these guys, but this is a sport first and foremost, the love of money has been bad for boxing and other sports over the years, the guys at the top end of the sport need to appreciate that they are very well paid indeed, and need to do the right thing for their fans and the sport it's self.

Droning on and on about previous purses, and completely missing what's been going on. Do you think Wilder ever had to worry about money with Haymon? Where do you think that half billion went.. fight purses are simply for the books when you got Al. I bet Kid Chocolate was doing pretty well during all that time out of the ring, no fight checks no problem.
Wilder should get 30% or so, Frank Bruno 2.0 can have the bigger split doesn't matter. AJ can count his money when he wakes up from his inevitable nap.

Badhusker already admitted he’s biased to fighters he likes, so that explains his inconsistency on these mattersboxing_rocks wrote: ↑07 Nov 2017, 11:19Funny that so many people who were saying that GGG should agree to a flat fee against Canelo and that he can't demand a PPV percentage are now saying that Wilder shouldn't agree to 20 or even 30 percent.

It’s not achievable for it to be in writingBadhusker wrote: ↑08 Nov 2017, 08:44 If someone, or several people made an online poll of who they wanted AJ or Wilder to fight next, I would guess at least 95% of the polls would show fans want them to fight each other. There’s not 7 million in the pot to fight Whyte. It’s more than double the 3 mil offered
Hearn wants the fight but he doesn’t want to get ripped off either
You are right I suspect re the fans poll bit
Re: what % should WILDER get against AJ ? *
I agree with your sentiments re money, but in reality you have a guy drawing 20 million and another guy roughly drawing 1 mil. I’m not suggesting wilder gets fack all but 50/50 isn’t realsibbo wrote: ↑08 Nov 2017, 09:05 I know it's a career for these guys, but this is a sport first and foremost, the love of money has been bad for boxing and other sports over the years, the guys at the top end of the sport need to appreciate that they are very well paid indeed, and need to do the right thing for their fans and the sport it's self.

He should be lucky he’ll only get his arse kicked by Frank Bruno 2.0. Frank Bruno 1.0 would brutalise himSFW wrote: ↑08 Nov 2017, 09:07 Droning on and on about previous purses, and completely missing what's been going on. Hearn asked a few random people in the streets of NYC if they know who Wilder is, and nobody did.
30% would be very generous.
