I think badly hurt again overstates it. Joshua wobbled for about a second, recovered, and carried on as normal.
Sky were desperate for Joshua not to walk out and slaughter him because they'd decided to go for a domestic scrap as a PPV headliner, so any remote success that Whyte was going to get was always going to be massively overstated. Jim Watt screaming about his legs having gone and Adam Smith shrieking about 'crisis mode' doesn't make me actually think it was anything remotely close to a crisis.

I enjoy watching Joshua fight he's talented and a ton of fun.
But it's like he's a politician outside the ring just reading a rehearsed script. He doesn't seem real.

I enjoyed Oscar as a fighter but he made me cringed seeing him out of the ring.
he wasnt that badly hurt. got a bit jolted but was never all over the place or anything like whyte was against chisora. only serious trouble hes been in was against wlad and he still won.

Reading that from Wilder brings flashes of Martin sitting on his arse in the ring looking like he didn't know what hit him. I feel Wilder will be doing the same when it comes his time.

Whyte tried to but he isnt good enough and Joshua wasn’t hurt enough, to land the shots he was throwing. Joshua was throwing punches back ten seconds later. Watching it back, it seemed far worse at the time than it actually was.

He kept getting hit in the head. It's the same story as v Klitschko, the opponent was actually in there with him and not a sitting duck.
Doesn't suit the Joshua haters narrative though.
People realise that it's not subjective and the fight did actually happen don't they? We can all get onto YouTube and watch the second round again.
Here is what actually happened. With 1:17 on the clock Whyte lands the shot in question. Joshua takes it but steps towards Whyte and wobbles slightly so looks to hold having half thrown a counter. Whyte reacts straight away, forcing Joshua to the ropes throwing eight heavy shots over the next few seconds which Joshua avoids/blocks. With 1:05 on the clock Joshua has thrown two shots back and forces Whyte himself back. They both land several more in the next minute but neither are wobbled again. Joshua occupies centre.
That's it. 'He didn't follow up.' He did. In fact, he did so immediately. The reality is Joshua just wasn't that hurt. He was able to deal with a Whyte attack fairly comfortably and ten seconds later was firing shots back.
As I've said, the most overstated punch of the year.

He got buzzed but this has become like a Greek myth. He was really that close to going down, just got stuff legs and heavy. Whyte threw the kitchen sink at him for the next 1.5 rounds, you can’t say he didn’t give it a go

who is gonna knock them off? sounds more like wishful thinking, unless your talking about sparring lol
i only really see wilder with a realistic chance and i think joshua gets to him first with better technique. wilder gets hit more by 2nd and 3rd tier guys than aj does.
parker, miller, povetkin, etc get badly beaten up. pulev gets smashed like wlad did to him if he ever finds the balls to fight aj. fury doesnt box, haye is crippled.
