Yes I read reports that Parker was the favourite to get the first Joshua fight of 3 next year. Great fight, another unification

Parker will have to have a tremendous chin to see the final bell, as his defence is way to open to not eat a lot of big punches.

That would be an amazing fight, I feel sad Wilder didn't do the job, because that would have given Wilder a fair 50/50 deal against both of them if he would win the first one against Parker, but whatever, I'm happy AJ is clearly willing to unify!

Good, interesting fight. I think Joshua wins it by KO, but Parker might give him some issues.

He is going to eat a lot of jabs and even his chin will not hold up. I think AJ applies enough pressure to get Parker going backwards. He can fight on the back foot quite well but he dosent have power doing it. Parker is a brave, fit and game fighter. His loss will probably gain him more respect than he had coming in the ring.
Bless him. He should have waited and made a couple of voluntary defences first.

Parker is getting knocked out lad... He couldn't finish---or even floor---Fury, Takam, or Ruiz... and he LOST to the latter 2 with fair judging... Then you look at his fatuous fight with overweight substitute Razvan Cojanu???? ... LMAO!!! ... GTFOOH wi dat bullcrap!!!

One of the very best matches that can be made at the moment in HW :box:

Joshua is the favorite to win but Parker is very live underdog.

Povetkin moving closer to being mandatory for Parker might be the reason they want the Joshua payday rather sooner than later

Great news if it gets made :yay:

You are being kind of hard on Parker here...

Fury was in the fight only to run and survive. It is really hard to knock someone out who refuses to fight.

I don't think Joshua stops Takam outside of UK.

I can't think of many guys in HW that would knock Ruiz out. And before you say Wilder... I think that Ruiz is more likely to knock him out than the other way around

I have to agree. Not even my rampant patriotism can blind me from that fact.
Parker's chin might get him back peddling through the first 2-4 rounds best case. But it is inevitable. He will go down like a brave warrior with a spear against a wall of muskets and may never be the same afterwards.

Yes exactly. He's a good guy but this fight is already over before it's signed.
Parker might as well retire after. He has no chance against Joshua or Wilder and he doesn't have the name recognition to make good money after this

Whoa there, this fight hasn’t been made yet. If it happens, we have a good fight. But it’s too early to think about that.

Good interesting fight.

Good deal for Parker as his defenses are fights that could go either way, Takam. Ruiz, and H. Fury. Why should he risk a loss like that?

Hopefully, they'll come up with enough money to put Wilder against someone with a pulse and then eventually have a total unification.

True it hasn't been made yet. Last I read team Parker agreed verbally to a 60/40 split in AJ's favor, but not sure if they will go for it.

It makes me laugh that Hearn was once again caught, denying that they had any negotiations or made any offer. Higgens claimed they lowballed a 20% offer. Now obviously they have been negotiating, so it is very believable they did make that offer. Decent fight if it gets made. It would be nice to see AJ fight out of his own country for once though.

I Think Parker Should wait...
Fight Lucas Browne in Feb..... W KO 5
Let Joshua fight Wilder in March fo a Joshua Win
Parker fights Povetkin in Mandatory W 12 in July
While Joshua beats Breazeale KO 7
If Tyson Fury is Ready by Sept. This should be the fight Parker aims for as it's Fury's WBO belt on the line... Winner fights Joshua for Undisputed Title.
It's the way for Parker buts others will disagree.
After 2018 the HW division is f%@$ed as there is nobody left under 28 with a good record...

Been watching and studying boxing for 25 years and I think Parker will beat AJ by knockout.

VK knocked AJ down but didn’t have the youth to finish fight.
Whyte almost had AJ but lacked the ability to finish AJ.

Parker can knock AJ down and he CAN finish him.

Can AJ knock down Parker who has never been on the canvas
In his career or even in sparring.

AJ knocked down many times in sparring ..Parker never.

Parker is fast and is around 240 pounds .

The only advantage AJ has is his reach to be honest

AJ has met much better fighters... Takam knocked the Hell out of Parker and got boxed to death by Joshua.. The referee stopped the fight early but Joshua was mounting a charge to get rid of CT and flatten him for 10 in round 11.. Hughie Fury has no experience against any top boxers and he's got no defense.. Parker should have run him over and he couldn't.. What would Joshua or Wilder do for Hughie??? He wouldn't go 5.

Parker passes as a legitimate warm up.
If Joshua were to win that buys him credibility to mid May 2018.

Joshua v Parker in March.
Will still be about a 5 month layoff for Joshua.
How many fights will he have in 2108 ?
You know it's likely to be 2.
