He was rated before the Davies fight. He was a top amateur so there were big things expected of him. He hasn't put a foot wrong as a pro as of yet and isn't scared to take a risk. I fail to see how he is overrated? The Davies win was a good win and the way he got the victory was impressive. You are a hard man to please if you think Taylor is overrated.

I was underwhelmed with Taylor in the fight he had in America. This Vasquez fight should reveal a lot.... if Vasquez is game. Taylor couldn't beat Tom Stalker as an amateur not too long ago. I don't think that means all that much but maybe he has difficulty with guys who keep distance and move. I can see Vasquez winning but not getting the decision. I never have any sympathy with Vasquez though, his style is so bad to watch.

I agree Vazquez will be a stylistic challenge. Taylor has looked a million dollars against straightforward linear fighters, he's chopped them up as they come at him.

Obviously it will be much more difficult as Vazquez will be moving a lot, what I have seen of Taylor's footwork had been impressive, if he can make the ring small against vazquez and conclusively beat him it's a big statement IMO

Not tooo risky, as Vasquez unlikely to knock him out, and a points loss for a prospect like Josh, to a seasoned ex world champ is no massive set back. A great learning fight.

After solving the uncultured style of O’Hara, he’s likely to find this guy a huge step up. Definitely a tricky one.

Taylor is good with the counter left to the body and it looks like he's just finding his timing with it

I have Taylor 1 up after 7. Vazquez was able to make T look crude early on but I'm thinking youth will prevail in this one.

Taylor is excellent at baiting his opponent into throwing the lead right, and landing his left underneath to the body

Vasquez has looked a bit tired and ragged fairly early? Breathing has seemed a bit laboured for a bit too I think. Hisshots have that floppy-armed look of a tired fighter to me

Right behind the elbow. Had to watch the replay to see the punch that ended it.

Good learning fight for Taylor. V was a right box of tricks, especially early on.

I had Taylor 6-2 up at least and wouldn't have really argued with a shutout. Vazquez just had no pop at all.

Yassssss Josh what a bodyshot and an excellent win, that was a tough fight for him and he had to deal with some problems he hadn't seen before, I know some people questioned the ambition of Vazquez coming in but he showed he plenty, he actually started off more aggressive than he usually is, the 1st 4 rounds he was sharper and quicker off the punch, Taylor struggled with his timing and the awkwardness of Vazquez whos a nightmare to nail clean, slowly but surely though Taylor found his rhythm and found the target more and more especially with that right hand, you could tell Vazquez was starting to look ragged and he was looking tired after putting a lot in

Still the finish come from nowhere, you seen Taylor work the body right before he sunk in the right hand, I thought Vazquez might get up but he looked hurt for a while after it, quality again from Taylor and a superb learning fight, surely he'll get a title shot by his 15th fight
