On October 30, 1974, George Foreman fought Muhammad Ali in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic Of The Congo (then, it was known as Zaire). Muhammad beat George by an 8th round knockout.
Had Foreman & Ali fought a second time anywhere's from around mid 1975 till around 1981, had George beat Muhammad. ---------- Do you think that George Foreman would be considered one of the greatest (if not the greatest) heavyweight boxer in history?
If so, why?
If not, why not?
Please explain.
George Foreman, what if?
Re: George Foreman, what if?
If George got Ali in early 1978 and beat him instead of Leon Spinks beating him??? ... NO!!! ... Even if he knocked Ali out he lost to Jimmy Young... One thing winning a rematch doesn't do is wipe out defeats.. It's like Lennox Lewis.. The 2 losses are still there on Lewis's record.
What would Foreman do when Larry Holmes wins the WBC Title that year??? ... would he try to unify like Spinks and Ali DIDN'T??? ... Or retire???
