David Haye Injured Again??

Post by Ruthless-RKO »

According to ThaBoxingVoice, a source from Haye’s Camp has told them that he is injured and may have to cancel.

It’s unclear at the moment what the supposed injury is.

His toe probably hurts again, he always got silly excuses.

He fought Wlad with the broken toe, as weak as that sounds, but he didn’t pull out the fight

Out of interest what excuses elsewhere has he given for losing a fight or pulling out

Exactly. He didn't pull out of the frst Bellew fight either. He was clearly injured before the fight.

Pulled out of two Fury fights, which to be fair, were well evidenced. A bad cut, and then shoulder damage which saw him out of the ring for years.

He did pull out of a date with Wlad citing an injury, pulled out vs Fury with an injury
Fought Wlad and Bellew with injuries...

Yes the whole thing of Haye havingno heart or being an excuse maker is a myth

Even the broken toe thing, he shouldn’t have said it, and I’m not saying he’d beat Wlad without it, but if an injury is enough to psychologically take you off your game and distract you, it’s a contribution to a poorer performance

I read that haye couldn’t pull out the fight with that injury, as he had had to delay or postpone and earlier date, and if he did it again he’d lose the fight altogether.

Yes the first was a nasty cut over the eyebrow from sparring, who goes into a fight sporting a cut before the opening bell? Fireman didn’t vs Ali

The second reconstructive shoulder surgery

They don’t count as excuses in my book. Legit injuries

All true

The first postponement with Wlad forced his hand to fight with an injury in the second date. Which isn’t ideal to go into a title fight. He shouldn’t have brought it up after, but the fact was he fought injured

All the other opponents you list he had legit injuries so it’s not an excuse like asjkl will probably say

If your that injured dont fight its plain and simple but if you do fight injured, like many other fighters do and they dont bring it up after the fight, keep it to yourself otherwise you will have a life time of abuse from loyal fight fans who once believed you were a good fighter

Fury is the last person you should have sympathy for when it comes to pulling out of fights.

Is this the same Tyson Fury who pulled out of two rematches with Wlad because he was pissed and fell over and had done too much coke, and then pulled out of a fight on the day of the fight with Ustinov because his uncle wasn't feeling very well? And then announced three comeback dates this year and pulled out of them all because he was too lazy to get himself in anything other than morbidly obese condition?

Just checking it's the same guy that's all. :TU:

He only wanted Klitschko for the money and never expected to win, the toe excuses only made the story better for him, imagine he did not have that broken toe, then he had no option left but admitting Tony Bellew isn't the only one who can beat him fair and square.
For the rest, ask Tyson Fury? Or Shannon Briggs, or name them, he pulled out of any risky fight, he didn't even challenge any risk, Chisora is still the best by miles he ever won against.

The point is what are we seeing in terms of the legitimacy of these pull outs. They happen, legitimately, when fighters get injured. I think it's churlish to criticise Haye for getting cut in sparring or injuring his shoulder. He's also gone into fights with obvious injury problems.

Pull outs are frustrating but I feel a lot more for the likes of Wlad having to waste time dealing with some fat pisspot like Fury than those who have had fights postponed because of genuine injury.
