Hughie is probably the lightest puncher who could seriously be considered in the title shot bracket. I also think because he has no pop those who like him grossly overrate these supposed silky skills. Parker is bang average and a smaller guy and dealt with them in a fairly dismal fight.

I like Hughie and I think it would be great if he beat Wilder but he wouldn't.

Exciting? Did you see Hughie vs Parker?
No I didn't, but if Washington can win 5 rounds, then I think it's possible for Hughie as well, while at the same time Wilder can KO him at any random point, but the funny thing is, Hughie is capable of running circles for an hour. So, there's a fair chance Wilder can't KO him, so in other words, this match will be remarkebly hard to predict.

Hughie will need to actually throw some punches.... Moved well against Parker but barely threw his right hand and just pawed with the jab all night!

This point, even more so now, makes this contest a non starter

What about Stiverne? What about Arreola? What about Wilder himself? What about the fact UKAD will get bankrupt if they clear Hughie and Tyson right now?

I’d back hughie to pick up some rounds and possibly be ahead but think he’s not good enough to not get knocked out at some point

Hughie has been so disappointing, he had all the materials and a very exciting style a few years ago, looks like he's changed it all for the worse and gone backwards, wilder sends him to sleep no doubt at all

He never had all the materials as he's never remotely shown himself to have decent power at the weight.

Believe me he did, he was 19, tall, quick as can be, awkward style to hit, accurate with good feet and a good dig for a boy, he's since changed his style dramatically and looks half the fighter he looked like he was going to be

agree. deffo overrated skills.

skill as a 'boxer' comes in being able to blend your defense and offense. hugh couldnt do it at all against parker. was all defense and then when he tried offense he was throwing useless jabs from too far away. that wont get him rounds vs wilder and it will be harder to keep range against a 6'7 rather than a 6'2 ish opponent (dont but that jp is 6'4),

also hughie doesnt even have half of tysons power and tyson not even a puncher. basically, hughie is just so bleh. ultra negative without power or personality.
