Gorman

Post by jamamb »

opponent didnt seem up to much. think webb wouldve been better fight.though for his age and number of fights cant really complain and he got the job done with a stoppage . hes progressed very nicely for being 21.

what now for gorman?

I'm not saying every heavyweight needs to look like a bodybuilder. They absolutely do not.

But Gorman just looked genuinely fat last night.

I agree about the weight, but maybe it does make sense to keep him bigger ealy on and try and get his strength up, then get a bit less fleshy for the bigger fights. He's probably just another big guy that likes to eat though.

His opponent wasn't great, but it was someone unbeaten, slightly taller and older than him, so props for that.

Nah thats a fight we all want.Gorman has been matched very well so far and he looks a good prospect.

Im much more excited for his future than I am about Dubois to be honest.

Needs to leave the Dubois fight alone.

Concentrate on himself and stick at domestic level for 18-24 months.

Dubois only makes sense at a higher level, a few years down the line.

Don’t think FW would sacrifice Gorman at this stage anyway.

Was impressed with Gorman. Looked comfortable in there, Soltby didnt trouble him at all... Only 21 and will learn alot from getting the rounds in the bag.
Lots for him to improve on over the next couple of years. Would like to see him trim down a bit.

Frank wont make a fight with Dubois any time soon... It wouldn't make sense.. Better to build them both slowly, send em down different paths and fight later when the time is right...

ya build them both rather than having them fight now and have ppl inevitably rush to call the loser no good. both very young

Agreed. Gorman has a fair bit going for him but I’m not all that convinced he hits especially hard yet, despite his record, and he needs to probably loose a stone and shift some weight from his mid-drift up to his chest/shoulders/neck. Nice boxer though, decent feet, quick hands, good combos and throws good sharp, and importantly, well thought out shots. Has much more to offer than Whyte/Chisora/etc did at their development stage and they’ve had good careers 👍

I don't think that's good enough.
We all know it's not bodybuilding, but if you train hard and eat the good stuff you don't look like that. Gorman won't go beyond English title challenger class unless he starts taking it seriously.

Er ? Really ?!
Are you nuts.
If Dubois starts ticking the boxes, his ceiling is waaay higher than Gorman's.
'Triple D' couldbe a PPV sensation with multiple KO defences in a good era. Nobody thinks Gorman could do that.

It's not a fight you want anytime soon trust me.. Dubois is putting people to sleep before they hit the floor, he's dropped AJ with a head guard on and sparring was halted, Gorman is good but Dubois would ruin him.

I was not impressed. mostly threw arm punches. Too much talent in the domestic HW division for Gorman to make a mark. Dubois would rip his liver out, right now!!
