Wlad was a world champ on a Lennox bill! Come on! Then the Naz years... First English promoter to sell out MSG, think there was 7,000 there last week nearby. Half comps.
Wlad wasn't a world champion and hadn't fought for a world championship. He was a European level lumbering heavyweight who was best known for being the chinny, younger, lesser known Klitschko.
Again, it's all past past past. We know Warren put good fights on decades ago - what about now? Warren (and you as a fan by extension) seem to have adopted a bit of a Liverpool FC mentality. Yes you were the biggest name in town years ago and yes, you'll always be a 'name.' But all the big names you had have retired or left and you're reduced to talking about what you did decades ago as a means to stay relevant.

He won the title in his next fight. And let's forget the past, wasn't Davis the hottest thing in the world in May when he came over, with Floyd?

Ok... Who has Hearn brought over? Wlad at 41, Linares, who went life and death with Mitchell, Charles Martin? Name one fight bigger in the trade than Benn-McClellan, please. Or a better night than when Tapia came over. Fwank was even part of the Witherspoon team that beat Bruno and, going offshore, promoted Barerra-Morales 1!
I don't think anyone would argue that Warren was a top promoter in the late 80s/90s and most of the 2000s but it's an long long time since those fights you mentioned.
He's promoting Frampton's big homecoming this weekend and, surprisingly given the card, tickets are still available.
Wlad may have been 41 and Linares may have had a tough fight with Mitchell but they were both still the best fights that could have been made for his fighters and Linares was generally considered to be the top dog at lightweight.
This is all spot on. He gets Frampton, a big name, and serves up a very weak opponent in a fight that has seen almost no promotion. He's managed to get a card, albeit only on a one off deal, with two world titles on it in the shape of DeGale and Selby, and it's on in three and a bit weeks. They both are still facing TBA.

So he wasn't a world champion then? If you bring someone over and they end up becoming a massive name then fair enough, but lets not pretend you brought them over when they were some absolute superstar.
Again, nobody is saying Warren doesn't bring the names over - but he does it so much more infrequently than Hearn.

And you didn't answer my question. Who has Camp Eddie brought over?
In the last five years I'd say the picks would be Bute (undefeated world champion, at the time probably considered #2 at the weight behind Ward), Wlad (arguably number one in the division at the time between him and Joshua), Golovkin (contender for the best in the world), Linares X 3 (probably fair to say top 2/3 at the weight), Spence (probably on a level with Thurman as best at 147?)

Off the top of my head...
Bute
Golovkin
Kessler (albeit a lesser version of Kessler than FW brought over)
Errol Spence
Klitschko
Linares X3
He's also brought over many other world champs who weren't big names (I'd wager many more than FW did over the same time period) and made some massive British fights (Froch v Groves, Bellew v Haye etc.)
