He wasn’t in that much pain, given after the fight was called he nearly immediately straightened up and walked to his corner. Also, I disagree that all three shots were low.
Thirdly, he did nail SOGgy with low blows, one being a full on ballbuster. What happened? SOGgy walked through it and sonned Krushedner.
You can disagree all you want to that the shots were low, but the video evidence is clear as day. Video don't lie.
Gil, I did not say tha SOGgy did not land any low blows. I am disagreeing with your claim that all three of the final shots were low. That shot is low, but I think that Krushedner also played for the DQ and lost.
Face it, the Russian was whining intermittently nearly ever time SOGgy landed to the body. He was looking for a way out and he found it.
I agree that the ref bailed him out and robbed SOGgy of the ultimate, legit stoppage.

I can't say whether or not he was playing for a DQ or not, but I don't think it's unreasonable to expect a referee to call a foul a foul. That being said, when it became clear that the referee wasn't gonna do his job, and you were in a free for all he should've been hitting Ward back in the balls.
I definitely don't think Kovalev liked the pressure Ward was bringing to him, and it would lead me to believe somebody like Beterbiev would be hell for him too.

So would Beterbiev be hell for slow 175-lb version of Ward.

The angle and also the way Kovalev is already slumped over makes it look low.. nd it being an uppercut to the body. The punch comes from a lower angle.
that was clearly low. it looked low because it was. no need for 'bending low' this and ''uppercut' that.bbut ward simply the better man anyway. weeks did him a disservice by stopping it becuse now this gets the focus when ward was going to stop him legit.
jamamb wrote: ↑14 Nov 2017, 20:02
ward would clown beterbiev. beterbiev is super basic and slow
Beterbiev is the same level as Kovalev. Not as good at outside game but way better inside which takes away Ward's main advantage he had over Kovalev. Artur is also tougher than Kovalev. Judging him by his last fight is a big mistake.

Yes, also the fact that it was indeed low also makes it look low.

He'd be a hard night yes. I think I'd favor Ward in that fight, but it's an interesting one.

Don't post evidence that doesn't fit some peoples agenda. And don't dare suggest that Kovalevs reaction was completely different to legitimate body shots. e.g Hopkins-DLH,Tszyu-Hurtado,GGG-Macklin and more recently Gassiev-Wlodarczyk and Josh Taylor-Miguel Vasquez. JDJ is a snake look at what he said before the fight.
And now he's carrying on like this after saying how well Kovalev fitted in with everyone at his gym.I would like to see his reaction to 3 full force low blows.
jamamb wrote: ↑14 Nov 2017, 18:52
it was low but kov was losing either way
Yeah he was 1 point down on 2 cards and 3 up on another. And nobody has ever come back from a seemingly hopeless position to win a fight 'cough' Foreman-Moorer 'cough' Froch-Taylor etc. He was stopped on illegal punches and you would be blowing up big time if it was the other way around.
Jackson has no class, no boxer Worth his salt should hire this guy
This topic is the last thing the forum needed, tanzio had gone cold turkey for a few days but now he’s back on the wagon
Personally I thought ward was looking good and turning the screw, but they were foul blows at the end. Doesn’t matter kovalev was bending forward, the blows landed low. And the ref did a bad job

Correction; the blow landed low.
Why are you not directing your angst as morbidly at the posse of nuthuggers who are actually perpetrating the repeated resuscitation of this malignancy?

Blows Tanzio. All 3 of the finishing blows were low. There used to be a gif that showed all 3 in sequence, and they're all low.

Even most of that shot was on the belt, which was legal.

Even when I'm rooting for a guy to win a fight, I'm not going to pretend a foul is not a foul. You guys pretending as if everything was legit about that finish is as shameful as the finish itself.
