Haye has not come out and denied being injured, which makes me think that he is. I feel sorry for him, as he has been fantastic to watch, but, as a boxer, it seems that his body is giving up on him. I hope I am wrong, though. I’d like to see him and Bellew both in top shape and see how it unfolds. We didn’t see that last time. Haye was dragging his foot from the word go.

Days out of the fight, rumours bouncing around everywhere that he is not only injured but the rumours specifically say he has hurt his Achilles tendon. He limps into the ring, placing foot carefully flat and not heel down first, then lo and behold, the Achilles snaps and people deny he was injured pre-fight.
Yeah, he is normally super confident - smiling and jigging to "aint no stopping us now" - he was limping and walking carefully as you say.

I think he is injured now due to the lack of denials as big lennox states.

Mind games by Haye in my opinion. Putting that seed of doubt in Bellew’s head that he might be injured by not coming out with a denial (although Joe Joyce has been very active on social media re fighting on the undercard and Hearn being more active on social media regarding the fight).

Haye loves a mind game, remember the Enzo Maccarinelli fight when he was saying he would never fight at cruiserweight again and said he struggles to make weight? He then proceeded to make it with no issues and blow Maccarinelli out in 2 rounds!

Not sure if your post is sarcastic or not - but yes, in all seriousness.... he looked to have balance issues from the get go - hence the wild swinging IMO. His punching technique reminded me of Tyson's vs Danny Williams - after he injured himself.

Clearly Team Haye’s plan to **** with peoples minds has worked.

Trust me when I say this I would be stunned and I mean stunned if there was a leak within the Hayemaker Canmp as I have stated before Haye runs a tightly knit team & if anything gets to the press iis discussed and disseminated to the press “officially”.

He might act a little injured when the bell rings, play a bit of possum with Bellew.. Bellew might think he's legit injured. Haye could capitalize on that.

But he would need to watch his step.

Haye runs too tight a ship for there to be a leak of any truths.
We heard about Haye flying to see a specialist in Germany, about his achilles, a week before he ruptured his achilles in a fight he was supposedly fit for
Carefully orchestrated through his twitter account by Haye personally.

So Haye didn't go to Germany about his achillies? Geniune question.

Very coincidental that Haye orchestrated carefully something that would have a major issue in the fight.

Haye saw an overseas Achilles specialist in the days lead up to fight night. His footwork look flat and lumbering and his lunging in awful.

All points toward him not being 100% fit at the start and his Achilles was vulnerable

This is the mind game I refer to earlier in this thread.

He sucked warren, maccrenelli and Enzo Calzaghe into that one. Said he was dead at the weight after Mormeck

They jump at the fight

Then haye come in at 198 or something sipping water at the weigh in!

Enzo calzaghes face was a picture

Spud, did you enjoy working for Haye? I wouldn't invade yours or Haye's privacy by asking for details, but it must have been a fascinating role to have. Is it hard to do a job like that without getting attached to the paymaster e.g. do you get nervous for the fighters that you work with before each fight, or are you able to be dispassionate about the situation and switch off? I would live every second and be a bag of nerves comes fight night. Would be interesting to hear your views. Also, I hope you are keeping well. Lovely to have you back posting on here :bag:

I bet Haye loses sleep about what us lot think about him.

Eh, it was in the press the week before the fight that Haye had an achilles injury?

I feel a bit of sympathy for those who bought tickets but c'mon you must need your head examined of you buy tickets for a Haye fight, if the guy was a horse he's have ben shot years ago, ive been saying to my mates(Casuals) that the main concern isn't if Haye can win the rematch, its can Haye last a training camp, his body just keeps letting him down, I do feel for him, it must be so frustrating to keep having to pull out of fights, I know he takes a lot of stick but I'm not actually sure what his critics are accusing him of? Feining injury? Ducking?

Either way he has to retire, too much wear and tear and he cant keep doing this to fans, opponents and promoters

I'm not arsed about him letting Sky down though, fvck they pudenda

David Haye been conning a career for the last few fights.
His body can't hold up to a high level training camp for a big fight, nor the big fight itself. Turn it in David, it's gone.

I don't think his ego will allow him to retire on a loss, sadly.
