Re: Tyson Fury vs David Price
Fury's all over the place.
One minute he's haranguing & calling out Deontay Wilder & Anthony Joshua, now he's barrel scraping with the likes of Shannon Briggs & David Price!
He needs to sort his head out.

Re: Tyson Fury vs David Price
Didn't Fury lose multiple times in the amateurs to David Price?
Re: Tyson Fury vs David Price
Obviously Fury isn't going to take on a Joshua or a Wilder without taking on one or two easier opponents first. That's not going to stop Fury talking sh*t at Joshua or Wilder in the meantime though, unless he's undergone some sort of personality transplant.

ah ok never heard that beforeclopixolacuphase wrote: ↑18 Nov 2017, 10:52One of them knocked the other down I seem to remember. I think it was Tyson that had Price over.
Re: Tyson Fury vs David Price
Fury arguably ducked him when they were both unbeaten prospects at a a similar level and the fight was red hot. It'll obviously be of zero interest to Americans and newer boxing fans but for those of us who remember when this fight was first mooted there will definitely be some freak show intrigue, especially as both are washed up. Could even actually make for a decent fight.
It'll have to a have a strong undercard, that's for sure.

Fury's not washed up, just fat. He never lost.clopixolacuphase wrote: ↑18 Nov 2017, 11:02Fury arguably ducked him when they were both unbeaten prospects at a a similar level and the fight was red hot. I forgot that he ducked Price when the fight was hot originally.
I don't think his ego would allow him to fight Price now after ducking him when the fight meant something.

Re: Tyson Fury vs David Price
An easy KO win for Fury... But remember – Buster Douglas tried to come back from years of gluttony, drunkenness and debauchery... Buster got smashed by the 5th rate Lou Savarese in the 1st round.. If your body isn’t there 1 right hand will do you.. What did Holy hit Buster with???
Sooo...a potential disaster. But it shouldn't be THAT bad...Buster Douglas was pretty damned far gone.

Re: Tyson Fury vs David Price
I think Fury would probably win a decision, and look sloppy in doing so if his first fight back from the last few years is a David Price, but I'd be surprised if he couldn't beat David Price.
Re: Tyson Fury vs David Price
If he wants to fight Joshua or Wilder, he needs an easier comeback first. Briggs or Price would be great.Syntax Error wrote: ↑17 Nov 2017, 15:04 Fury's all over the place.

Re: Tyson Fury vs David Price
I'm not sure about Briggs being an easy option. Sure if you're still upright after three rounds you should beat Briggs, but he's very dangerous for the first few rounds. I can think of less risky options, there again even the new family-size Tyson should be sufficiently elusive to make those opening few rounds less dangerous than they would be for many potential Briggs opponents.

Briggs is far too easy. Larry Holmes, as is, would clown Briggs.BitPlayer wrote: ↑18 Nov 2017, 16:48If he wants to fight Joshua or Wilder, he needs an easier comeback first. Briggs or Price would be great.Syntax Error wrote: ↑17 Nov 2017, 15:04 Fury's all over the place.

ya mate think of all those top fighters briggs has stopped early within the last 10 years. its not like he got totally clowned by someone like sultan ibragimov. and i mean not like in his last meaningul fight 8 years ago he was pummeled into the hospital. surely hed be better at 47 than 40 too.candyslim wrote: ↑19 Nov 2017, 07:54 I'm not sure about Briggs being an easy option. Re: Tyson Fury vs David Price
Yep. Briggs is more suited to fighting someone like Tomasz Adamek or something. Adamek would beat him too.SaadOffTheDeck wrote: ↑19 Nov 2017, 08:01

Briggs is so far past it. If fury is in shape he walks to a decision vs Briggs imocandyslim wrote: ↑19 Nov 2017, 07:54 I'm not sure about Briggs being an easy option. I can easily appreciate your opinion on this matter and I almost agree with it, since you haven't said anything unreasonable, but...candyslim wrote: ↑19 Nov 2017, 07:54 I'm not sure about Briggs being an easy option. How many world class opponents has Shannon Briggs KO'd during the last decade?
For sure, the American's resume statistically proves that he's scored a lot of early stoppages, but you'd surely struggle to list more than three world class (in their prime) opponents that he's KO'd throughout the course of a career spanning 25 years.
Re: Tyson Fury vs David Price
Not too many for sure but I trust what my eyes tell me. If I was say David Haye for example, and I had a choice of Briggs, Arreola, Stiverne, Fujimoto, or Helenius, for my next opponent, I think Briggs would be the one I'd be most keen to avoid.
